Suspicion of strangers

I am looking for some further confirmation, on my main account that i completely rejected Andrew with, the strangers fire not only doesn't hurt me but it doesn't touch me. He can still whack at me and hurt me in other ways, but i can stand right in there in that fire all day. Not one damage tic. Other people, they get roasted up. Plus notice the story arc in the herald:

Valvakka, why do you smile so?" the woman asked one of her companions.

"Because, my lady Kealdia," his smile widened to display gleaming teeth, "My task has the highest of all honors: to destroy the weak ones that succumbed to... that human."

He clasped his hands in a quiet, but powerful, show of anticipation, his words trailing off in a whisper. "Weak... Fake..."

Is this, perhaps, the reward for not being big sellouts for a dagger? I've gotten 2 boxes already this evening (long wait though) while 35 people ran around screaming on flames trying to get to it. Just wait for someone to open it up, pick it up and go. Nice and comfy, good air conditioning even. Fire irrelevant.

Thats a fair call. It certainly ties in with the story line. I failed to see the connection when I read the story the first time. Nice spotting man. I was lazy and didnt bother to take any character from either of my accounts to go see him. I wonder what other benefits those who didnt succumb will recieve.

i think your bugged because out of my 2 main accounts i have a "Evil" Account and a "Good" Account. I didnt get a dagger on any of the chars on my Good account and i still get roasted by the strangers. It doesnt matter which char im on even if its a char that never attacked a stranger.

Any chance you have a character in factions? If yes, which faction? Also, did you go to the alternate Moonglow and kill stuff? If yes, what did you kill? And did you trade blackrock to any of the traders that were swapping stuff for it in old Haven? At what level are you in the various virtues on the characters that are being toasted?

As for my character, its a clean and a 'good' account never did an evil choice with it in game, i doubt the blackrock turn in amounted to anything involving this, but i didn't turn any in either, but I do have a couple other friends on their 'good accounts' that are not super-awesome uber at all but just under gm stealthers and things and they are not getting hit at all either by the flames. The actual spells, yes, but the stuff that is killing people standing in it after it is dead or the flame lines, no. Who knows. We could all be misunderstanding something or another, but do not start going all gamemaster on me and start insinuating my account is 'bugged' or suddenly i'll have people with hanso swords whacking down my door from EA to confiscate my stuff. It ain't bugged, and my only other explanation would be that somehow I am just so invulnerably wonderful I can stand in crap while people are flying off their mounts into grey robes and not see any damage coming myself. I always answered no to fate and no to joining up with the shadowlords, by the way, and no glass dagger ever touched my house or characters. The only thing you can be a knight of supposedly I am not a knight of is justice, i don't have time for that nonsense. I killed everything in the void moonglow including the shadowlords

I'm sorry if my questions offended you, Vyrquenox. I wasn't trying to imply anything at all shady about you or your account or characters. I am only trying to understand if there's any kind of connection between what you said has happened or not happened with your characters and in-game choices they might have made during the current storyline. I thought perhaps you might be thinking along the same lines.

I think it is something about where you are standing when it dies. On the first one I was way back and nothing hurt me after he died. On the second, I couldn't get back far enough fast enough and after he died I was taking massive damage from the stuff on the ground. I didn't die, but I had to run out a lot and heal up. Other then that difference, I don't have a clue what it could be.

I refused the dagger and the only thing I have done on this char that could be considered evil is becoming blackrock infected.
