Melissa is a Trammie.
It's fairly evident from much of the content we get there is very little to the screening process involved in such things. Things like this happen often and won't be finished because of the time necessary. We should be thankful that we don't all crash when she dies.
There are no elven corpses in game
She is evil and breaks all kinds of rules.
The robe looks like an elven robe to us, but really it's a mark of her status as a minion of the Shadowlords.
Or, maybe, one side-effect of this event cycle will be that Melissa's robe will be able to be modified to be human-wearable.
Personally I'd go with 1 and 2.

Humans can't wear it.
NPCs don't need to follow the equipment rules... it's as simple as that.
And there are elven corpses in the game - elf brigands.

Because Parkway became a word first, and was an area around a park. Driveway had to be named something else.
Because it is easiest to make that way.
Due to light reflected from the oceans and bounced around in the upper atmosphere.

How can Vanguard Controllers cast on you while beating you down with non spell channeling swords and blocking your attacks with non spell channeling shields?So Melissa wears an elven robe, but has a human corpse. Whats with that?
