how is the horse not taking damage?

it been there for at least an hour in the painless operation room. it flagged blue, tame. but not getting hurt, just one of those undead would cream that horse. and why the hell would someone want to train his horse, if they were using a bug to do this you think they would at least do it a worthwhile pet.

There is no way that horse would live in there without some kind of bug.

I died and they killed my horse in a second.

Unless there is some new feature I don't know about. lol

Ok I just tried on a young player. As soon as I got off the horse they killed it.

So I'm sttill not sure how they did it.

there was a bug that affected my pets like that about a week or 2 ago, no monsters would attack them if they were left to sit there, was quite handy for doing melissa.

I wondered this same thing when I went thru the thing the first time. I was on a newly tamed desert ostard (had nothing better to do with my time, I guess, then tame that thing while getting poison sac's!). Anyway, I would get killed in the demon room, and the ostard would not. The stuff would not touch it. Same thing in the repond room. This went on for a good long time - like an HOUR while we were trying to figure out the last password. Finally, the thing did die. The only thing I can think of is the line of sight issues in there make it so the stuff can't "see" the mount.

So I was trying to get to Casca on a shard that is not my normal shard. I buy a horse, since they're faster and I can spend 550 gold to save 3 minutes. I run all the way to that room and BANG! I'm dead! I figure, whelp, there goes me horse! No matter, that was the plan anyway.

I wait for an absurdly long time in Casca's room for someone to res me, as the person I was making the deal with wasn't available at the time, and eventually someone comes. I think it was about 40 minutes later, but I can't be sure.

So I get my life back, get my 25k ticket, and buy another horse so I can go to Melissa as quickly as I went to Casca. That extra minute and a half makes a huge difference when I'm impatient. But something comes up in my real life I have to log out for a while. When I come back, I find that not only do I have the horse that I just bought, but my old horse that I was sure had died is standing right next to me!

I was confused. I still am, as I have no idea how it survived.

Anyway, if you were on Europa, that horse was probably mine. If not, than someone else's horse got a lucky bug too.

its not that it wasn't just being attatcked or targetted, this thing had like every ancient liche and normal liche, some which were paragons, casting necro and mage spells. rotting corpses pounding away along with all of the lesser undead as well, just about everything in the room was hitting that horse. if the same amount of mobs were attacking the dark father it would be dead in no time. they were attacking the horse, and the horse was fighting back.

Looks like it can get even weirder. I just created a new (not Young) character to run through the Ethereal Fortress on Atlantic. I purchased a horse in Haven; never fed, never given any commands.

My character died trying while running through and I presumed the horse did too. Not only didn't it die but when I used sacred journey to get to Ulrich, there it was beside me on the rooftop. It is still not bonded. How could it be after owning it a grand total of maybe 5 minutes?

Definitely something strange going on here.
