I was wondering who will be attending and if anyone plans on taking notes/recording so we can maybe finally get some info as to what is going on with the game we pay to play! Thank you :) .

I hope whomever goes asks some REAL questions as opposed to the weird fluff most pose to the team.

I wish they would do one of these in New York or Boston (Hartford would be even better) so I could go to one.

I plan on going to the Seattle Town Hall at the end of August.

I really want to know if EA/Mythic plans on doing any advertising to actually attract players, or are they going to just milk the cash cow, until death?

I will also ask, if they plan any new client, based on the curent UO player demographic and input. (ei. mostly older player base, that loves the core UO and would like it updated, not re-created)

I will sum up what people will see this weekend.

Someone asking for a pad of paper and then asking for ideas, saying how 'great' they are and they will 'definitely look into that'.

Someone saying that it is def something the team wants to focus on.

You will here words like 'Soon, On the radar, etc etc'.

Expect PR words like 'exciting, interesting, challenging'.

Someone saying that they want to do (insert name of skill or idea), but it they have to look at the 'bigger picture' first.

They will say they are looking at crafting, armor, weapons and PvP because all need change and they have been discussing it (what they will fail to mention is that they have been 'discussing it' since 2004).

There you go. Town Hall.

I will be attending as well as a few others I know and I'm sure SOMEONE will be taking notes, have a photographic memory (not me) and/or probably recording as well.

My guess is that at least half the questions that are actually answered at the town hall meeting were "submitted" by EA themselves so they can discuss new stuff that's in the works.

I'd like to know ...

1) what the hell is going on with alliances? why is it broken, when will it be fixed?
2) what the hell were they thinking when they nerfed sw? now that it's broken, how long before it gets fixed?
3) what the hell are they doing to prevent/eliminate duping and scripters?
4) what the hell are they planning to do for 11th anniv? will there be a shelf presence? is there an advertising budget? will it be spent?
5) what the hell is their short term goal for UO? 5 years? 10?
6) when the hell are they going to get around to all the broken things that have been on their "plate" to fix? you know, the ones they put off because of the move, didn't have enough programmers, didn't have the right customer service, didn't have enough tech support, *insert excuse after excuse here*

well I could go on, but these would easily fill up the 2 hours of town hall time!

Hi Experimental,

I'll be there as well.

Every town hall, everyone expects that someone else will be taking notes... and it usually doesn't happen. Suggestion, print your questions out and take them with you (you will get the chance to ask them or someone else will ask the same questions)... then write down the answers on the same sheet. If enough people do something like this, there will be some decent reporting from San Diego.

In addition to several Stratics reporters being there, Whispering Rose Radio broadcasting live, Ultimate Online Forums posting the recording, and so on... users taking their own notes would add to the coverage.
