duping, scripting, whatever. it doesn't matter on ultima. if i knew how to script or dupe i would. you don't get in trouble for it. this isn't world of warcraft or any of the games where the dev's actually care. it's probably just time we all realized that.
Sad but true. There has been a Hiding tamer farming artifacts unattended in shame on LS for a month straight now. A Pink Sidhe (pets name so it isn't violating the rules hehe) is always there, server up to server down.
And the joy is, you can't even report them because you can't reveal in Tram and they nerfed the lava serpent talismans. My next step is to train up necro on a character just to snake-charm (and release) lava serpents on those guys to get their names for paging.
But what do you expect? UO doesn't even have assigned GMs any more. We get hand-me downs in doing Temp work a couple times a week then going back to their normal jobs.
It may look good to a half-witted monkey to keep 50 scripter accounts paying and lose 10-15 honest player accounts... But to anyone with so much as a high school education, the concept of PR and its effects make it clear how stupid that is.
They know this too. It is the reason they pulled that Xthousand accounts Banned hoax a couple years ago. I say hoax because those tens of thousands of accounts had houses somewhere (to store all their scripted collections) but no shard saw an unusual increase in IDOCs or new mystery housing space. If they actually banned more than 500 accounts I would be very surprised.
I know how to script. I simply don't. I pay to Play the game, not to watch a script do it for me. I could get that kind of entertainment for free elsewhere.
