Questions for those using the new armor sets

1. What are you using it for? General PvM? Showing off? Champ spawning? Doom? Etc.

2. Is there anything in particular you wear with it? For example, do you select jewelry to complement it? Or is it just, whatever, because the suit has at least some of everything you care about anyway?

I use a knight's set for my semi-retired fighter, since I can't be bothered building a suit for him. This suit was perfectly adequate for the type of character he is (basic mid-level PvM swordsman). So in that regard it was definitely worth it.

As for jewels, I just pick pieces which compliment the existing mods. DCI, DI, HCI combo's.

1 - I got the Sorc Suit for my necro who is parked in Doom, he likes the 70s resist and 100% LRC, since he a necro mana regen is no problem so don't miss the MR that a pieced together suit would have had.

2 - Just tossed on a totem of the void, invuln shield and jewelry for 2/6 casting and believe had some extra LMC on the jewelry as well

3 - Since I only have one decent suit my chars share pieces of and wanted to park a char in Doom for a while, sure not like I was doing anything with the junk i turned in for the points and not like anything else on the reward list I wanted.

I wouldn't use the suit on my regular mage or anything because of the lack of MR, LMC and SDI. But the necro seems to like it..

I use the Sorcerer's Suit on my PvM mage.

Unfortuately, it's not adequate as a PvP suit, which is understandable actually, otherwise everyone in UO would have a standard made-for-pvp suit and then there would be no fun in making one's own PvP suit, and PvP *is* the endgame of UO.

Yes, it's worth it. To have a 100 LRC all 70s suit is perfect for PvM.

I was considering using the Luck (Novo Bleu) jewelry set with the suit, but I settled for Crystalline Ring and Resilient Bracers instead. Needed the mods which came with these jewels (specifically, +20 phy resist needed for Protection On).

I use the Sorcerer's Suit for my tamer (mage/sw) as she has plenty of mana, GM med, and doesnt cast alot (no Eval), and I used her suit to put together a nice suit for my peace necro mage AND my red necro mage. We will get another Sorcerer's suit for my husband's tamer, then use his armor for another of his chars and my SW/Bard.

To show off!!! realy. No! I got the mage suit for my tammer char ... with the ring and bracelet you can also get, it allows me to do a few things more easily than I would otherwise have been able to. Im sure a lot of others out there are also having the benefit of the suit and what it offers. Can I make a great suit.. yes... but why not utilse the new mage suit .... I have the points .. why waste them on something you may never realy get a use from.
But then I don't bank sit either!

havent done anything with it yet tho

i have suit after suit of all kinds as it is
but this one may prove to be fairly nice for a quick-change type suit
for when i cant locate all my others since i have too much stuff and the pretty little blue set is easy to spot!

i would love to know if the scout suit was made medable tho
seems ea said they were gonna do that but i havent been able to discover if that is true

I love the look of the scout armor, but haven't used it yet (haven't really thought about it yet actually)

I've heard friends say good things about the knight armor, but I haven't really thought about how I'd use it yet either.

I have plans to use the sorc armor on a few of my chars, because I like having ready-made suits and will sacrifice a little power to have that. My power chars will still use power suits, though.

I think you can build a pretty powerful suit with Sorcerors armor, though. I may even consider spawning in it, but I've gotten used to having ridiculous SDI. I'm still working on getting the right jewlery to make the suit pop, so I haven't actually used it yet. I suspect it will be useful with a good mage weapon with DCI on it and crystlaine ring. I also think it'll be useful with some jewlery combos and scrappers.

* Sorcerer's Armor (helm)(gorget)(chest)(leggings)(arms)(gloves)
* Etoile Bleue (ring)
* Novo Bleue (bracelet)
* Totem Of The Void (talisman)

I hope to complement the suit with a Crimson one day. It's a good combination for my mage, and I can play as a human once again(stupid Stitcher's Mittens).

I was genuinely worried that the new suits would be un- or under-used.

I'm glad to see I was wrong, that they gave us something that wasn't over-powering but was useful to people.

Although I would like to have all of the sets... just to have... the only one that I find a practical use for is the Soc set... probably going to rotate it between my tamer and my thunter...

Only suit we got was the mage's. Got four of them, two for me and two for my wife. We also got the luck jewerly to put 400 pts on the current luck outfits we have. When I put the luck suit on now and hit the luck statue, I go over 2100 pts.

The other suits we saw no need as the pallys have the virtue armor.
