Ok...So heres whats happened so far with the event/turn ins.
1. Vanguards - Spawned on Baja. Have not been spawning for weeks, yet still spawn on other shards? Can we get these back on Baja?
2. Strangers - WTF. What happened here? The Strangers started, they droped some new gems and a magic box. BTW what are the items for? deco? event plot?
One night I helped crash the entire Baja server 3 times, fighting the Stranger in Baja Heartwood. The fix was having the Stranger spawn in Hythloth for a week.
So are the Strangers gone? coming back?
3. In my 9 1/2 years of playing, the Spring event, is the one event, that I feel has all but ruined any of the little economic stability UO had. On Baja, the majority of vendors I see, sell only items not worthy of the turn in. Many of those items currently selling seem to have been duped for insane gold.
The current event has people mob fighting Melissa. They get the spawn in the room to target an unreachable pet and just sit farming Melissa every 15 minutes...surely not intended?
Young players (people that took the time and credit card number to make new trial accounts, simply to get the 50k per character in Spring points.
The entire event ruined any chance at having items be rare, and there were numerous times during the event that took fun at screwing someone over. Be it the person that sold the wrong items which eventually had high turn in value, or the person that for phase 1 and 2 busted their hump to get points, only to evtually be handed 250k in points for free. Do not get me wrong I like new stuff, (new rares and items), however I for one, do not think they should be obtainable by anyone/everyone. That to me adds to the fun of the game!
Seems hard to sell anything when people are looking at a point value for spring points, but also giving the items a gold and rarity value as well.
Anyways, I could go on with event injustice, but right now simply want some answers...
What are the threads of fate/life for?
What is the Cloak of Corruption for?
What are the new gems and Magical Box for?
Are the Strangers defeated/gone?
When does this event end?
What is the glass dagger for?
When do my decisions to join the Shadowlords effect the story line?
Why do the devs add in items with +5% fire resist, but at the same time pretty much give each player in the game an all 70's suit?
