At 150 stamina, which is faster a composite bow with 25 ssi, 30 ssi or a composite bow with 35 ssi?

With or without devine fury?

Without

25ssi - 2
30ssi - 2
35ssi - 2

With

25ssi - 2
30ssi - 2
35ssi - 1.75

I would assume he is looking at the EA/UO swing speed chart and adding the stam and ssi into the chart and finding the proper result. A trained monkey can find it.

Actually heres the calculation:-

A tick is 0.25 seconds
Take the speed in seconds of the weapon as listed and multiply it by 4 to get the speed in "ticks."
Figure out Stamina Ticks (Current Stamina / 30, rounded down.)
Get your Swing Speed Increase item property modifier

Use this equation:-

((Base Weapon Speed - Stamina Ticks) * (100.0 / (100 + Swing Speed Increase)))

5 Ticks, or 1.25 seconds is the minimum swing speed

Now i haven't checked every calculation on Athenes charts but so long as the right calculation was used i doubt they are wrong, but like i said i havent checked them so that isn't Gospel. Which calculations do you believe to be wrong?

If you do the math, here are the results.

At 150 stam, 25 SSI = 8.8
At 150 stam, 30 SSI = 8.47
At 150 stam, 35 SSI = 8.14

Rounding down, the swing speed on all those bows would be two seconds. So, your assertion in the other thread was incorrect.

At 150 stam, 40 SSI = 7.81

Rounding down, the swing speed on that bow would be 1.75 seconds.

Divine fury adds 10 SSI, so with divine fury the 30 SSI bow and the 35 SSI bow are just as fast as the 40 SSI bow, so your assertions in this thread are also incorrect.

Noob.

I will give you credit you have completely confused me as to what exactly you are talking about all i stated was that the 25ssi bow would swing a tick faster if it had been enhanced with ash over yew, nothing has changed :)

At 150 stamina, a 25 ssi bow swings at the same speed as a 35 ssi bow so it makes no difference if it is enhanced with ash or yew.

Does that make it simple enough for you to understand?

I also said it did WITHOUT devine fury:-

Well a bow with 25ssi would have the same base speed as one with 35ssi without devine fury at 150-179 stam but with fury up the 35% ssi one is a tick quicker, not to mention the you can't swing the 25ssi bow below 2 seconds no matter how much stam you run. Some of the swing speeds overlap without devine fury but i cant think why you would run a slow bow (other than a short with 35ssi) without chiv. It would even be possible to swing a 40ssi comp bow at 1.5 seconds but that's a whole different issue
I made the original assumption that anyone running such a bow would be using devine fury, sorry for assuming everyone else knows what they are doing i guess :)

This was your original "assumption".

Doesn't matter how well you equip, a bow with 25-30% ssi will always be one tick slower than a bow with 35-40% ssi. Probably not enough hours in the day to explain dexxer mechanics to you just stick to explode, flamestrike, explode, flamestrike
As I have demonstrated (and you have now come to realize) a bow with 25-30 ssi is not always one tick slower than a bow with 35-40 ssi (with or without divine fury).

Before you dump on someone else for not understanding "dexxer mechanics", you ought to understand them yourself.

If you need any more help, I'm here for you.

I didn't pay any attention to whom it was directed. I just noticed that you were wrong.

omg revvo you noob, a 35 ssi bow isnt always quicker than a 25 ssi bow. if you dont have any arrows, the 35 ssi one definitely doesnt swing quicker than the other one.

PWNED!!!

You mean you have to know something about the game to make an item work to its fullest potential? That is just redonkulous.

my next question would be.......
what is the average wind speed of an african swallow? Assuming it has no head wind?
