return to UO, but things have changed

Hello,

I just return to UO yesterday since 2007, and i found that i can't fight alone anymore,
so i'm wondering where can i make money now? and how do you kill the dragon?
please post some pictures if you can, and if you know some good spot please let me know.

That all depends on what kind of characters you have, what skills and equipment.

If your best character is a 60skill swordsman your options for making money will be pretty limited.
If you have a chivalry/bushido/archer or a bard/tamer there are many more posabilities.

i used to hunt the bird on my own which gives more than 1k per bird, but now it is so hard to kill them, so i would like to know where do you guys do hunting now?

You can make money doing the events, the new quest is pretty easy for any template to do. (I finished it on both of my tailors) Otherwise you can still do Miasmas, maybe by yourself if you have a tamer. The Greater dragons you can kill if you do a hit and run. Takes a while but you can do it if you dont have too much spawn on you and you can get it to one on one.

It all still depends on your template. If you are a Mage, Miasma is still great, but lure the stray Minotaurs away. As a warrior, Blood ellys are a good source of loot. Make sure you have a blood elly slayer and use Enemy of one and Consecrate weapon. Onis are also great loot, and can be taken down pretty fast on a mage, tamer, or Warrior.

I feel your pain...

When i came back , i nearly died cause an ettin was punching me...

Hunting spots...these days a lot of people hang out at the whisp dungeon...to kill melissa...she rarely drops expensive stuff (pearl necklace , crimson apron , other stuff of wich i forgot the name)
That apron goes for 16-18mill on europa...necklace goes for a few mill aswell.

I also hunt at Labyrinth..i kill that scorpion called Miasma.
He drops nice chests and a lot of gold.
I usualy have to run to the bank with 16-18k every 5 mins.
Of course i'm not sure if you can handle it with a swords man.
Since that scorpion poisons you...and it's not cureable...you have to wait till it wears off to apply bandies again.


Or old spots...Ice Wyrms...+700gp per dragon.

Destard is nice...but those greater dragons deal great damage.
And often kill people in one...max 2 hits.
Lot of gold and a lot of gems.

Or...go to doom , try to do some damage to get arties and collect bones from the monsters for golden skulls.


My warrior has a similar template to yours..all you need is great great and a great weapon.

(ps : archers are the bomb now...they get loads of arties in doom)

I did a break from UO too some time ago. After returning, I sadly recognized that my Ninja Pally wasn't that good anymore. I neglected him untill I read this awesome Sampire thread which is bursting of good ideas (thanks everyone). So I did some changes and I tell you: 40 points of Necromancy really makes the different. No healing skill required! I'm hopping between Hythloth (Daemons) and Despise (Titans), using Demon Slayer Machete with DI, HML and ML resp. good ol' Soul Seeker. While I'm still raising Bushido, I earn gold really fast. Daemons and Titans give lots of fame and karma what helps to raise Sacrifice and Honor. And on top of that, the Virtue Arties are dropping frequently.

Wow...theses places seems fun....i made a come back last month since year 2005...lots of changes here and there....

but only wish i could find my old friends back with me...is too lonely to play alone
