Resource prices: Help me make a list?

It's one of the most often recurring questions on the board, so help me make a list that I can add into the shop thread sticky please?

Give me prices for the items in the list, tell me what should be in the list but isn't.

I paid the following for the various leathers (I think. Hooder can correct me if I am wrong).

spined- 50 gp (or maybe it was 75gp?)
horned 100gp
barbed 125gp

I don't know about the other resources.

That price was out of desperation. I don't really want to see the price of cloth go up for everyone. I just really wanted to motivate someone to either give up their cloth or make some!

I personally won't sell cloth for any less than 500 per bolt. It takes more of my time to collect wool now that I cannot use sending bags and enhanced bandages seem to have become more popular in the past year or so. I always need cloth for that. Just seems to be higher demand and there is more work involved. Time is money!

It may always be a competetive market, but I think at the very least, if that list will be posted here, a range should be included.

Ya there seems to be alot of miners now...since mining is sooo easy now im curious why there so expensive still...

Because bod runners use a lot of ingots and dont like to mine. It harder now. You can't gate to spot and pull up color ore you have to hunt for them.

I see the same people selling ingots by the thousands week after week...must not be that hard...what really amazes me is how people that dont even play this server sell ingots by the thousands on all servers thats alot of mining aye?Like i said must not be that hard...

It's been some time since I've bought or sold them, but the gems were running at 50k each for Ecru Citrines and White Pearls, 5k for the rest, although IMHO, the Dark Sapphires should be more like 10k.

Also, I think your prices for arrows/bolts are low. I was selling them a while back at 15 gp each, and sold out daily - so that I got tired of stocking the vendor.

I think arrows are low I was offered 7 gold for plain wood and you still have to get the feathers

I admit my arrow and bolt prices were the top of the range, but I was assured that they could be bought at the lower prices.

Tbh, I sold them at that when I first started stocking them, but found I was just getting cleared out by re-sellers.

I remember that and who the reseller was, but your bolts and arrows were very underpriced. Can't blame a guy for being a good business man. I used to race him to your vendor to see if I could snag the arrows before he did. lol Was trying to stock up for my own archer.

BTW.. I have never seen another vendor selling for the lower end of tht spectrum. If there is one, yall need to clue me in!

mining gem prices seem rather steep... If I price eccrus anything over 10k each they sit on my vendor for long enough that the vendor cost of them is more expensive then the profit of selling them.

even on prodos where ingots are 12g each they only fetch 10-15k tops.


That aside, why the jump on prices for shadow ingots?

Find iron vein

hit with garg pick
kill shadow elies + mining with garg pick, I easily get almost twice as much shadow then I do iron when mining.... doesn't make sense!

all that aside, this really should be stickied.

mageregs usually go for factionvendor price +1 gp each...
pearl and moss are usually higher than the rest, not sure how much exactly though.

The peerless reagents used to go for 10K to 50K each (seemed to be a lot of variation)...I haven't bought any in a long time so I'm not sure about the prices now. It was one reason why if you weren't doing peerless yourself, it was pretty much impossible to produce a Scrapper's for less than 400K and it might cost a lot more.

Personally I don't think the personal attacks thread needs to be up there, personal attacks have been a no no for longer then I've been part of the UO community and it just seems very redundant since its part of the ROC

Well first of all, it's good for the new people to the boards, not everyone reads the RoC and this spells it out quite well.

Second of all, what does this have to do with the price of anything?

Dola, the thread was made because there seemed to be some problem over understanding what was a personal attack and what wasn't. Everyone knows the RoC, but there was some clarification of the meaning needed. It's possible that, now the main stickies are recovered, that information can be merged into Sloan's FAQ thread.

Can we get back to the pricing, and I apologise for causing the thread to stray off topic?

Since you've never encountered me in the game, I don't know what basis you have for that statement. If I was a jerk, I'd make sure you found out for yourself, but since I'm not you'll never know.

On the subject of the cloth... Siege used to be different, I know, I'm old and I tell tales about how things were when I was young.

I have tried to find the joy again I used to find in the past from sheering sheep, then magically making cloth from the wool I gathered. The difference is: I had to bloody well go back to my own house to find a spinning wheel and a loom!

What is it with everybody? Are we all so afraid of the 2 PKs on Siege that we lock our doors, make our houses private and make sure there is nothing useful on our porches?

Let's not be scared, open our houses, ok, keep two boxes locked. If I'm going to play a role playing game, I most definitely am not going to play a scared person, I am scared enough in rl as it is.
