Some of the mods like their current ruleset. It makes them feel safe. Don't count on the rules changing here...la
The mods aren't the only ones who like the current ruleset. Open discussion is one thing, but I have observed that rarely is that what removal of restraints fosters. We have plenty of unrestrained forums elsewhere, where people are free to toss their filth & trash around, and they do. People can go to those if that is what they are looking for as far as I'm concerned, and we have the OT forum here (just as on the old boards) if people want to leave the sandbox while staying in the schoolyard so to speak, in a general discussion setting.

The Siege forum used to be pretty open, there was plenty of board PvP. We did just fine, then a whole different crop of people started playing the shard, and it seemed they just have a lot thinner skin...la

It's possible to board pvp within RoC, if your language skills and imagination are up to it. Just don't sink to name-calling and accusations of cheating.

hey kelmo, can i assume with the new forums and the loss of the old ones etc, any previous *coughs* marks might have been lost also?
These are temporary boards, so they say. Previously they indicated that if they get the data recovered from the old ones, they will not be merging the content from these into it, the old ones will just eventually get ported to the new board format. Not sure if that is still the plan.
