Bug with spirit speak...

Basically if you have say 90 SS and then use a bloodwood spirit to boost it to GM you can't see ghosts unless they are in war mode. I was under the impression that if you used items to have 100 points in a skill it should work just as well as if you had 100 real points in a skill.

EDIT: You also cannot understand what ghosts are saying.

I expect your right. I reported a long time ago that the SS bonus on bloodwoods doesn't work at all. I found out by counting the strangle ticks I got.

I've reported it at least 3x.

I may be intended to work that way, since some skills are based on the real skill, and not the modified skill. Magery comes to mind, if you have 90 real skill and jewels and a spellbook to boost you to 120, you will never fail an 8th level spell, but your GHeals and Mindblasts will be much weaker than at a real 120 Magery.

Does that work the other way too? If you have 120 real skill and hold a -20 mage weapon, will you still GH at the 120 level since that's your real skill?

I just tested GHeals and mindblasts and from what I found out you were wrong. Regardless of my real skill at 120 magery I was ghealing for 50-53 hit points. Mindblast was doing a flat 15 damage a cast regardless of skill as well.

But yeah it is comforting that you can report a bug 3 times and then get no results.
