Is there a way to get out of her room while being a ghost? The teleporter field seems to function in one direction only.

By teleporter field, you mean the teleporters on the north and south side of the room (which is the traditional exit) or the teleporter you used to get in (which is new, one way only, and even-specific).
The north and south teleporters used to work, I believe, for ghosts.
