Cussing foul Language and IGNORE

Ok On my shard Lake Superior, at least its an issue. every person You kill doesn't just walk away most call you names, make inappropriate comments about your momma, and acuse you of having sex with family members (except for the spouse they claim there soi9ng that for you).

Ok when u complain they tell you to use the ignore function located in the options panel. I found the ignore function, OMG what a blessing, I was totally happy, for about 5 minutes.
The problem I found right away is, You cant see them casting, so when three people around me precast I normally move, however with ignore on you cant see them casting so its a blind side and it creates a disadvantage to those of us not wanting the hear the potty mouth.

I find it so sickning how brazenly nasty folks can be hidden securely behind a keyboard and mouse, the stuff they type in is horiffying sometimes. I know for a fact they don't do this in real life, because it would be hard to play UO while in a body cast.

So please developers please look into this and fix it, I mean you fixed that issue with people so now they flag when ressing a red pet because it was no critical to the game. Unlike Ignore.

Yeah thats the down side to the ignore function, it should not include words of power, but hey at least you can ignore all the archers/dexers you want, lol.

I have had the same issue, quite a few people don't realize that the F word is not a verb. I repeatily tell them that thier language is unacceptable and they really should seek counciling but I just can't get through to them. I usually leave after I have completed what I have come to do and if they follow me to another location I page on them. Some children just can't play nice.

On Great Lakes there is a guild that I left, they are saying horrid things about me and my family, in trammel, felucca, anywhere they see me. The slander is very vulgar and nasty, along the lines of calling my children lovers, also the consistant saying "when are you getting another child to molest you ****ing pedifile" Along with the constant calling me a *****. All of which are untrue and unwarranted, it is still horrid what these folks say. i let most of it roll off my back but it really pisses me off when they say that **** about my children and about me being a pedifile, Especially in todays socieity, when someone makes that comment even if it is untrue the rumer is always there and EA chooses to turn their blind eye and not do anything about the **** talk. Yes they have a ingame filter and ignore list, but it is not enough, even though you have someone on ignore, they still say the slander and others see it. EA it is time that you put your foot down on this issue, as a teen rated game, with the language it will soon have a R rateing if the right people look into what is being said and motions made ingame, including the sexual motions that are used at major banks among certian players.

you are perhaps 10 and can't handle such language ? hrmm n/m let's change that to 6. you must live a very very sheltered life. even air TV you can cuss on now.. i swear i saw a boob on NBC the other night. OMFG such horrors ...

Seeing the tit on a female or even hearing word number 4 according to george carlin, but being called a pedifile or roumers about your children being lovers, there is a line, i can handle cuss words but the personal attacks i have a major problem with nothing being done even useing teh verbal harassment option

Ive had someone bring my kids into uo before. and it just isnt right.
one thing they accused me of was chlid neglect because i played uo.
The only chance i get to play uo is of a night time after they have gone to bed. Go figure.
Some people are just morons.
I know a few people that should be taken away from society, not just have a filter put on them. :gun:
This game should of remained 18+ until they could get a better filter.

But yeah, it sucks not to see spells when on ignore.

*ttl* I love how the attitude is when dealing with people that can't seem to speak/type respectfully in game. The responsability of dealing with the person falls on the one that doesn't want to see foul language on the screen,while the offender is not really held accountable for the words they type.

This is the worst part about being a necro/killing a necro (or any char with SS), you get to listen to people winge when they die... OOoooOOOoooo is so much easier on the ears (eyes).

Yeah, it is easy to get worked up in this game. There's no easy way around it. I hate half the people who bother to type things in UO anymore.
