Suggestion to the Devs...

What about???

Making the artefacts, crimsons, minor artefacts, runics, bods and power and stat scrolls... account bonded.
(each item could be individually discussed)

This would end cheating in a flash... nothing to sell, nothing to cheat for... nothing to make a profit with.

It would make life harder for folk... in the begining yes... mid/long term it would make folk hunt a bit more...

and above all... mid/long term...
- all players that script for val hammers, barbed kits, fletching kits... would stop doing it.
- all guilds that cheat to control felluca would stop doing it...
- all sites that sell those items promoting cheating/scripting would vanish...

Seriously though, instead of killing even more aspects to this game. Shouldn't EA actually start enforcing their own rules?

I'm sick of lame fixes aimed at stopping cheaters, that end up only harming legit players.

That's honestly one of the worst ideas I've ever read... How would anybody get any armor or weapons without having to use a character slot dedicated to a pure crafter? And even if people did that, its still terrible, you know how hard it is to get high end runic kits? And you're not even guaranteed anything good. Terrible idea.

i will agree this is a bad idea as it would hurt the legit player more as then the scriptors and dupers would just get those nice high end items and dupe the hell out of runics of all kinds since there would be alot less in the game and sell the high end stuff they made

as for the PS's i never heard of them being duped but don't know why they couldn't and in respect would cause them to put the PS's on all there char havening the char 120 in all skills as then they wouldn't be able to sell them ie they would goto waste

also whats to say some players wouldn't still try to get those items to just be jerks so others couldn't get them

Our guild would stop people from doing spawns just for the fight, we don't really care about the scrolls.

Most of us let the people in our guild have the scrolls they need, after all how many eval scrolls can one use. In fact I usually guard champs spawns on my red and don't even hit the champ.

We have a few guildmates who solo or do champ spawns with just 2 people, but even then, they mostly do it for the fight or to pass the time.

I doubt folk would scout T2A looking for a fight without the profit of the powerscrolls.

Buying and selling items is a long-standing, legitimate profession in UO.

Why kill it because some people cheat to do it?

The idea definately has some merit. Most likely have to impose this type of restriction on future items and not current ones. Greed and comfort zones prevent this from happening. This type of thing stops constant farming and does have it's uses. It's just not something that should be put on things like scrolls or things that drop rarely and randomly like CC.

I run one of the largest "help all newcomers" guild... I know the price this will cost us.

I also pvp, spawn and kill some harrowers... I know the domino effect this would bring.

Plus if the rares and server uniques were account bonded... why hack into accounts? If the item had its owner signature.

Just a Thought... a very carefully planned thought...
