What is the point anyway?

Use all your chars and get both event rewards and you can have 250k-350k points per account. Then if you have xshard chars for holiday gifts, work it out with someone else and then run each other's newb char through for another 250k-350k.

Seriously I really don't get the point of spring cleaning if they are heanding out 25k point ticket like candy. A person can get millions of points in no time just by doing the quests and xshard the points back.

I can't believe they actually put point tickets in as reward!

What's to be mad about? My houses are MUCH cleaner now and I benefited from holding on to that junk. Going to run my stealther through and get at least one 25k ticket (if my kid stays asleep) and hopefully a couple more tickets after she goes to bed. Clean houses, additional points, new deco for my house that doesn't take nearly as much room as what I got rid of and some new adventure to top it off. Makes me pretty happy. Which I haven't been in UO for a long time now.

No im friggin pissed too...why the hell make this game completely easy for anyone (yes i understand new people need stuff to blahblah but what for the people that actually did sh$t to get these items?)...so i get no bonus to gettin 100's of gold soverigns and other misc stuff that i had to keep and hold on to so that anyone can just do a stupid quest and get more than those r worth? or many of the other items that i have (beserkers scythe's ect..) this is why so just another thing that will **** off vetrans and get more people to leave...i understand the "balancing" of the game but there has to be a point where you gotta say "should we really be spoon feeding these noobs"

The problem is that Spring Cleaning wasn't meant to be a veteran reward. This is essentially what you're complaining about. The fact that you've stuck around long enough to collect and hoard a bunch of "junk" means that you're somehow entitled to get the special items. Other people aren't entitled to rewards because they weren't somehow around. You want them to be vet rewards.

Instead, Spring Cleaning was a way to get people motivated to make some changes. It's a way to reduce clutter and server loads, while paving the way with a bit of player interaction. The rewards, as they are, were just the icing on the cake. Let me ask you something:

If they had performed this latest quest *before* the phases of turn-ins, what would you have done with your useless gold sovereigns, colored eggs, plane swords/shields? Kept them? For what? You haven't lost anything. But a lot of people suddenly have gained a bit of motivation to participate.

I've a funny feeling that shard transfers will be in QA conveniently, for the duration of this event to stop exactly what people perceive as potential for loading up on points.

It's just a game. If you're getting pissed about it, maybe it's time to take a few days or weeks off and do something else, then come back once you've cooled off. There nothing to be mad about.

They only gave 250k (300k if they have 7 chars) to each account. That's enough to get ONLY the jewelry set, or 2-3 of the higher end stuff like the beehive. That's it. There's still a whole list of things that people won't be able to get for lack of points.

Sure you do. You'll be able to get complete armor sets, along with the lower costing items on the list where others that didn't save all of that stuff won't be able to, and even multiples of a lot of the things so some can be set aside for when it's all over and people can't get them anymore so will have to buy them if they want them.

If someone is going to quit over players being able to afford a couple of the good items where the vet can get everything on the list and then some, then they were most likely going to be quitting soon anyway.

Unless you were planning on stocking up on items speculating that down the road you'd be able to sell them for a massive profit there's nothing to be mad about, and even if you were, there's still plenty of profit to be made for those that have more points.

I swear some people need to learn how to step back, count to ten, and take a breath sometimes. It's just a game people.....

Spring cleaning pretty sure its in the name "Cleaning" meaning getting rid of stuff that you have whether you were around for it or not... not we are gonna have a quest to give more points than anything "Cleaning" because a bunch of noobs cried they won't ever be able to get that many points. Im suprised at this point that EA doesn't give everyone CC's, Ornies, and other items that take time to obtain not "imma cry so i get what i want" how about you put the same time and effort as others have. I would like to see this stuff added to the list, while spring cleaning is still running.

1. The rewards ARE the bonus.
2. You CHOSE to keep the items.
3. If vets leave, it's going to be over something just a tad more important than this.

Death to all veterans. Merge shards. Delete houses. Game empty. Obvious to any who play.

I grinded through the Love Candle and that wasn't fun, I figure this will be about the same. Of course this is the year of the events, so maybe it will be UO super important?? Or maybe it can just be turned in later. That is important, right?

Make this quest worth 250k and maybe I will go, but probably not. I just don't care. They never even improved the ticket turn in process. Why is it still a clickfest? Can we please hold devs accountable for shoddy design, and thus lousy gameplay, and not the value of worthless junk?

Love Candle turn ins for 2 million ticket points each please. Then make the candles worth something invaluable later in a cruel twist of fate.

I am not mad because I can't sell points for tons of gold, I have not sold a single points/reward for gold. To be honest I don't even spend the gold I have and trust me I have plenty. What I'm mad about is the amount of time it took me to gather the points thus far just so I can have the turnin items I wanted and some for a few friends. The way this event is set up pretty much nullify the the effort spend to obtain points. Each account can get 250-350k in points easy and by doing xshard for more tickets, a person can obtain points in about 1% of the time. It was impossible to get these insane amount of points until this event.

With xshard using old chars that gathers gifts, it is not hard for one to to hit millions of points in no time. I question the logic for allowing such a thing to be possible.

Have you guys even considered the people that spend gold to obtain the rewards and points?

The purpose of spring cleaning is to turn in items ("junk") you don't need and the dev have stated that spring cleaning is not part of the ongoing event. Why in the world would it make any sense to have the reward of the event to have spring cleaning tickets is beyond me.

you were obviously not around when uo was loaded with people
many shards are deserted today short of farmers running scripts
i only play today for the friends i have made in ten years
it is them who keep me around and not the game anymore

Hey, at least you all can turn in your items. They keep breaking/removing the turn-in guys on Siege and not replacing them. So, doing the quests/events are the only way we can acquire points to claim items. (on our 1 char per account).

Throw in the fact that we can't do some parts of the event because they start it in the FACTION base in Brit and you see how much love the orphans of Siege get.

So what else is new. At least some parts work. I guess that's the best we can hope for anymore. I'd just be happy with what you get, at least the thing functions properly on your shard.

No one is forcing you to turn your items in. If you don't like the "clickfest", don't participate. Its that simple. There are plenty of options left for you. Such as selling your items, dropping them at the most populated bank, or just simply throwing them away.

And BTW, I wouldn't call it shoddy design. I'd say it was merely... inefficient. They at least allowed for the stackable items to be turned in 1, 10, or 100 at a time.

Also, I agree with Connor. While its fine to be frustrated once in a while, its just a game. If it really makes you this upset, maybe its time to step away for a bit.

I have to agree with this... I loaded up about 20 stacks of hay to trade in... dropped in on the trader and got told he wasn't looking for that item. I spent some time arguing with the trader that hay was a daily rare and he should take it... he just referred me to the website to prove that it wasn't listed
