Actually I have one, I claimed it to dye potion kegs with and haven't used it yet. I don't want to sell it and have to use another reward to get one, but I'll exchange it for one that's been used if you'd like?

Because there's no 'default' on a furniture tub, so you can't dye stuff back to 'wood' colour the way you can dye leather back to brown leather.

Thank you for the offer Petra. I'd actually like to have one of both- unused and used. Daniel, as Petra explained, I'd like to be able to dye furniture back to its natural color if it turns out I don't like it dyed.

Right now I have a ton of furniture I want to throw in a vendor, but it has been dyed in all shades of colors. I think the pieces might be more appealing to buyers if they are the original color rather than crazy shades of purple.

I bought an unused furniture dye tub a long time ago, and thought I had tested it on dyed furniture, and it would not bleach them back to their default color. I recall being disappointed, and going ahead and using the tub for color. I just claimed a vet reward now, and tried it, and it bleached the dye from a piece of dyed furniture I had. So...whatever it was I was trying to do so long ago, it must not have been that OR in fine UO fashion, it was changed/broke before and isn't now. It may be been what Petra mentioned - that I was trying to remove the color from a piece of furniture that had been made from a special wood.

No, you cannot. Once the tub has had dye added to it, you cannot go back.

Oh, and Skylark: I tried an new (unused) furniture dye tub on an oak elven chair the other night - and it DID remove the oaken shade. *grins* Huzzah!

Ohh, thanks for that update Dor.

And a word of caution to everyone, with the dye tub, once you double click the dye and target it, there is no going back. You can't change your mind and "cancel" it - if you do, it simply makes the tub the default blue dye that is somewhere in the middle of the dye hue menu when you open it. So NEVER target your pristine bleaching tub with a set of dyes or you will ruin it.

LOL...Patty, as much as I hate to say no to something you need for deco...it is the only pristine furniture dye tub I have, and since it actually works to bleach items now, I don't want to part with it.

Anyone know why the spring decor items are not included in heritage tokens? Are the heritage tokens all the anniversary gifts?

Heritage tokens get 7th and 8th age gifts and the 'early buyer' stuff from ML. The Spring decor was a separate promotion, launched in Japan at first with one of their boxes and then over here. For the rest of the world they were always an item that you bought.

Sorry I didn't get back to you last night Patty, I never got back online after tea. If you still need your furniture dyed back to wood while you try to find a tub for sale give me a call. The tub's at my house I'm afraid, until I save enough gold and find the right premises for my own shop
