I bought a keg from a vendor house near yew moongate, owned by someone named "hoot" and the keg was labeled "regular poison," but it turned out to be lesser poison.

would whoever owned that keg vendor be willing to exchange this keg for the proper type?

It'll just be a simple mistake for now...

I'm pretty sure that's what it was anyhow. But can't you get the keg to actually say "a keg of poison potions" by pouring a bottle of it and dumping the bottle back in? rather than just keeping it as "a keg of green liquid"..?

If people always kept it as "green liquid" this kind of stuff would happen too often..

You can ID poisons by decanting into a bottle and pouring it back in, but sometimes you have to do taste ID. A lot of people dump poison bottles collected from monsters into a keg so they can use the bottles. Those potions are all lesser, but it just has a color on the keg when you pour them in. When you do that, it won't let you ID them or mix them with crafted potions...at least it used to be that way when I ran potion vendors. It is unlikely someone would deliberately mislabel the keg...we are talking 100 nightshade difference between a keg of lesser and regular poison.

step 1 put keg into backpack with 1 empty bottle
step 2 pour out of keg one potion
step 3 drop potion back onto keg
wala! keg renamed to potion type =)

As I mentioned, that USUALLY works but not always.

In any event, I'd still like a refund - when there's only about two vendor's selling poison kegs one at a time, it makes training take longer than it should. It takes even longer when you throw away money for a useless keg.

I agree, unless the vendor wants to be tagged as a scammer (not on the boards of course because we would never do that), they should try to make it up to you with at minimum a full refund...la

Hail Aelfric

I own that house. Sorry about the mix-up. I´ll inform the vendor owner about what happened.

In the meantime, ICQ me on 329-570-049 or PM me here and I´ll replace the lesser keg with a regular one...

Just for everyone else - we met up and exchanged kegs. Everything went smoothly and there is nothing wrong with Hoot's vendor house. It was a simple mistake and people should still shop there.

just sayin....

thanks Tjalle.
