Vanguard cloak of shadows

just curious if anyone has gotten one and how it was obtained..i read on another forum somewhere over the weekend that some people were getting them as backpack spawns, the paperdoll of the vanguard shows him wearing the cloak..but ive solo'd a few of these and havnt had a drop yet..just curious if anyone has at all?

I cant confirm anyone on LA getting one yet. Gotten like 5 shields and 5 swords and those were looted of corpse.

Aye, I've only gotten the swords and shields, no cloaks and I've soloed and also done the most damage on my fair share of these guys. If the cloaks are dropping, no one is saying anything. I've asked allot of people if they have gotten anything other than swords and shields and that is all they are owning up to for loot. Also, the drop rate on the swords and shields is one of each per Vanguard Controller. I have yet to pull more or see anyone pull two or more off one Controller which is nice, keeps the value up a bit.

You get the Cloak by killing the Shadow Lords and coming in as one of the top 3 killers i believe. I've been having trouble keeping up with the city attacks though so i dont know if this is still true.

The shadow lords in alternate glow gave cloaks of corruption the vanguard have cloaks of shadows, if you open the paperdoll for the vanguard u will see its wearing one but as far as I know they do not drop.

Ive killed over 200 of them solo and nothing has dropped except shields and swords (I have 1600 luck too) , so untill I see proof that someone has one , they are just blowing smoke up your ......

Yeah I have to agree there is no proof yet of anyone actually getting one. Even a screen shot is not enough for me because they can easily be created using an emulator.

When I see someone wearing one in the game then I will believe it.

the cloaks:
cloak of shadows , elves only .. black
in normal world they reduce your stats to 1 slowly, also monsters are agrevated towards you.. this might be alternate glow tho forget
in the alternate moonglow it replenished them.

everyone is hoping the threads and cloaks will do something neat.

if your on atlantic i can throw one of mine on and show you..
also , not sure if you can get now..
blackrock helped alot, 1st three people to cast armaggedon while next to the shadowlord where guarenteed a cloak basicly.

Nope, you're thinking of Cloak of Corruption. The Cloak of Corruption does this.
"Cloak of Corruption Abilities:

Attempts to aggro a large area around the player
* Doesn’t work in towns/guard zones
* Cannot aggro players, pets, summons, or benign creatures
* Cannot aggro anything that is currently in battle
* Increases speed of aggro’d mob for several minutes
* Boosts Fame obtained from aggro’d mobs
* Can draw attacks up to 30 tiles away

Rapidly decays Karma
* -500 karma every 30 seconds equipped

Rapidly decays HP, Mana, Stamina in the normal world
Rapidly restores HP, Mana, Stamina in the Ethereal Void

To sum: A dread's best friend, or a hero's shield in the unknown"

Funny how what the Vanguard's wear is called the "Cloak of Shadows" when the actual Cloak of Shadows was an Ethereal looking Cloak that was looted off of Lady Morwenna on Napa. What the Vanguards wear is like the "Hooded Shroud of Shadows".
