Resurection Reward idea

Don't you just hate it when you are dead in an isolated or incredibly dangerous place and players are there and they refuse to resurect you well so do i. i was thinking that maybe when you do a kind deed like resurecting a player that maybe you should get a small reward maybe even some extra karma and fame everytime you resurect someone perhaps even a small point reward ticket to turn in for the spring cleaning event each time you resurect someone or maybe some other small reward. i think it would this would also eliminate alot of the bad circumstances that cause many players to have bitter feelings for each other hence this would make the game a more enjoyable and friendly game just a thought.

Since I believe I am ultimately the architect of my own experience, I'd really have to wonder what it was about me, my behaviour or my actions which had led led to others being less than keen to resurrect my char.

While I am out hunting or marking runes or whatever I will always rez a ghost near me,uness that person is either a complete a$$.I dont really care if they say thank you or not,it is the Right thing to do.I always try to say thanks for a rez,unless I am really in a bad mood from dying too much

a reward ticket would be abused a little i think... however i do like the extra fame/karma aspect.

That being said.. how about raising your sacrifice points to do your self res tho?? sometimes it helps, but with the self res comes the treasre hunt in your backpack for all your items.

Scripters reading your post have probably already worked out how to farm reward tickets, so.. I'd say no to tradeable/transferable benefits from this.

That said, I like the spirit of the idea as I spend around 50% of my adventuring time healing or resurrecting other people. I'd like for ressing to count toward Compassion.



I've felt the Virtues should be gained on a diminishing returns system instead of a fixed figure or limit per day; first act of Compassion in a 24hr period gives you 200pts toward your path, second gives you 100, third is 50, etc.. down to a minimum of say 5 or something.

This way it's not excluding the casual player from quickly accruing a fair amount of points - they would likely do 5 escorts/prisoners as is the norm now- while giving dedicated players an extra bonus for doing what they do - someone ressing people all day would see a marked increase in their Compassion over someone who just does the minimum. I'd also add that you need to res different people to gain in Compassion, not just sit there bandaging a ghost.

Great idea !

And it should work also for players/tamers resurrecting somebody's else pet, because nowadays, on some shards at least it has become quite difficult to have a pet resurrected (either because there are not many ppl on the shard...or they are afk....or whatever...)

And btw why not extend that system to any service given by a player to another ?
(but i'm not sure about that )

A gain in the compassion virtue would not seem out of line.
