Ya , thieves are like the most hated class really. I get alot of hate. But I still get a little bit of love. I guess its all how you play it. i generally never rub it in to ppl that i steal from, Just quietly stealth away.

There's no reason for people to hate thieves so much if indeed you're correct and they do. If someone is so concerned they can take steps to greatly minimize the chance of losing an item of real value, such as only trading in secluded places, in houses, off vendors when you're hidden, etc...A lot of our items in our pack are blessed. The majority of people who use weapons bless them, so that scratches disarm thieves. Resources can be divided into multiple stacks or locked in chests. And I've never done it much but I guess you can cover things up with ghost robes too? Thieves need boostings, even on Siege.

I don't have much worth stealing. Last time someone stole from me I commented that I seemed to have 'lost' something and offered a reward for the 'finder'. I try to 'ransom' my stuff back if I really want it back, or just put it down to experience and replace.

Stealing someone's garlic, probably shouldn't hurt someone's feelings enough for them to cuss me out (not that I care, that part of the funny part of their reaction). That isn't quite rubbing anything in...la

Hmmm...no one should ever cuss anyone out for anything even when angry IMO, but I bet if you stole, for example, Emeril's garlic, at a critical moment when he was about to mix a marinade for steaks, you'd wish he only cussed you out. Even cooks can be pushed over the edge.

Nah, I prefer to steal garlic from people who are being attacked. The fun part is watching them cast heal or greater heal...lol...la
