That's what they should have done when the program ended.

The powers are abused, especially since some of the people on those accounts aren't the people the powers were originally given to.

While we are at stucking accounts, I have also a few chars on old accounts, which are unable to login since years. It's not really better than sitting in jail, although these chars are not my main chars or on the main shard.

After following this thread since it's birth, I am truely amazed not one Higher power has even posted anything regarding this issue, even if it's a simple "matter was looked in to and has been delt with" so we can even know they care.

I know they are all busy, and, I can only assume they are busy with UO related task's... but It would only be fair to know that a player issue like this would almost certianly take a top spot in their To Do list.... and It would show the UO community that they care about their existing clients as much as we can only hope they do.

Isn't there a EA/UO hired Community Relations or Customer Service Representitive person that looks after keeping the community happy and up to date, not only on updates, but things like this players post(isuues) or relating some key issues or topics to the Devs and others that the community may have noticed or mentioned in threads.. If there isn't.. I think that would be a great job... would truely bring up the Player-UO Team relationships to a much higher level....

Seriously though, I do not see fault if the "power that be" didnt turn off your powers. As long as you have not been using anything to exploit or harm the game there is no reason you should sit in jail.

Truthfully, the absence of the companion program hurt this game a little. I remember when I first started and wandered amuck trying to figure out what the heck was going on... Then this very friendly person appeared with and helped me out with the game and the plethora of questions that I had. If the companion program was still around, it may help out on the que. Even now as a veteran player, I get very frustrated with the long wait for a response that doesnt really help... I can only imagine the frustration this must bring for new players... just a thought

As of 2 days after this post, they've emailed an apology and have released my character saying that the issue was fixed... pretty amazing what happens when you talk about the issue on Stratics.

All I can say is, whomever the EA/Mythic staffer was that saw this post.
