I had the pleasure of attending their wedding at the 20th Anniversary party. Spoke with NANOC then... very kind man and you could tell really put alot of passion into UO. They gave out little cards with bells on them at the wedding... I still have mine somewhere, will have to find it and get a picture up.
In the last couple of years, I began expanding out to some shards where I no longer had guilds to play with... Chessy being my original shard back in the late 90's, it was the first non-Atlantic shard where I tried to renew my presence a bit. As soon as I put out feelers to look for a group to play with, it was NANOC who not only reached out to me about joining Dragon Watch, but also gave me a tour of their guild houses, reminisced about 'the good ole days', talked about their wedding, and so forth. He made me feel welcome and encouraged me to participate as much as I could. Since then, it has become my "second shard" of sorts.. and a big part of that was because of the kindness and time he took to show me how wonderful this Chessy community is.
His loss is felt amongst many in our community, and I grieve for the loss of a wonderful member of our community. Rest in Peace and God Bless.
