My condolences but on the bright side you are free from a game you don't play much or you would have fixed it before the house fell.

Yea. Those were =) miss the good ole days lol.
I barely play. Ill keep my main account going, but Ive logged into that like three times over the last four months or so. Just have no desire.
We always come back...until we don't.
I just came back in December. Hadn't played since 2017. It's fun but also bittersweet.
It's tough I'm down to just two accounts. An I happy with communication 100% do I think splitting the team a terrible idea 100% nothing to do on production for another month too long especially without any spring event. At least update black market or permanently leave on the original TOT something anything..

I came back in February after having been gone for well over a decade and feel the same (only here for my kids and nostalgia).
I actually somewhat planned my exit in that I dropped most of my accounts/houses (staged some IDOCs for friends/guildmates), but I had kept one account open, just piddling around (it was around my first kid being born, so I had long stretches of holding him while messing around in UO).
I did not realize that the last time that I logged on to UO over a decade ago was going to be the last time I logged into UO for over a decade. It just happened.
LoL well. I am getting that itch again....I may start playing again. Probably make a whole new character and see if I can find away to make money on this game when I work 60 hours a week lol.
The economy is so crappy. You need 100s of mils to compete and I am poor lol. Im down to about 60mil total lol. Weak.

If you stay off of Atlantic, and stick to a medium shard, you can place plenty of 18x18s in great locations (and if you're willing to go to a smaller shard, you can find keep spots). You would have no problem GMing house placement.
The economy sucks everywhere thanks to shard transfers and bots and bored players who have done just about everything and are GMing collecting every single hue of a chair that was only found in Vesper between 2008 and the summer of 2010. The most I've had at any one time since coming back is 10 million gold (I've chosen not to sell a lot of stuff that would easily get me a billion or more). I've stuck to buying cheaper gear and imbuing my own stuff and it's been fine. Vendor Search makes it easy to get what I need to make my own gear.
Am I able to solo everything the rich players solo? No, but I can do the community hunts and there's plenty of stuff I've never fully explored (and I still need to knock out Eodon).
