Why was the champ spawn up for weeks (really needed no testing) and something so new (outfitter) such a short time?

Just a guess but the champ is the standard "dynamic champ" that they've had for years and they knew that was next. They were probably working on the arcane outfitter and got it finished (or so they thought) ahead of schedule so they wanted to release that too.... but it's not ready yet.

Would you rather not have gotten it at all?

Is anyone doing champs spawn on Origin? If so, where is the gate - or does someone have a public rune - for the spawn site, please?

I just didn't see the point of testing a reoccurring event for multiple weeks I am fine with outfitter taking as long as needed

A little disappointing we're going live with HCI on the shields... this really should have been DCI... but dems the breaks. Hopeful that a recipe will be made available in the future for the War Hammer, too. Looking forward to the spawn.

so just did the spawn for the first time on Origin..... i did not realize that BOTH bosses spawn at once, for some reason i had it in my head it would be just one or the other per spawn.
but what i found interesting - and it was a guild mate that pointed this out, is that we got looting rights on both bosses even though we were only dealing damage to one.
anyone else notice that?
ill watch a little closer the next one.

Exactly, the outfitter will likely be the basis for more suits in the future, so they definitely want to get it right. Having it working correctly now will pay off in subsequent publishes.

The possibilities are endless with the types of suit designs that can be implemented. I'd gladly pay Sovs for this. At the same time, I have no problem with this staying on TC for a while until it's as close to bug free as possible. I've spent plats on some of my better geared toons - I'm not going to sacrifice stats for appearance if we're forced with that decision.

It's likely bc the other might have damaged you (one does chain lightning)... I just did one where I only got looting rights to one boss. I still got the 2 drops though.

so ive got 3 of the luck aprons already, but my 3rd one is different than all the others!
ive got cold and fire so far and a guild mate got kinetic (phy) but this one i just got does not match any of the others.

nowday resist isn t a meend on any item you put 3-4 legendary and your at easy at max they should had other mods than resist on a belt it s a big mist from them

Kind of.... Damage eater will use any damage received, not just a single type like fire/cold/etc.

IZUMO still has no moongate (been 12 hours now since publish).

Also FYI - during Artisan festival, Wakoku Jhelom had no Elf at all. People waited and wondered why.

Japan shards represent huge population in UO but has little voice or customer care.

it will be interesting to see what this spawn is like once all the hype dies off on smaller shards.
its dropping fast now with 20 people per champ, but those double meatballs at the end might be out of the grasp of any group lower than 5-6 people.
very similar to the T-map boss.
did it twice with 3-4 people, 1 was an absolute impossible slow death, other took forever but got done.
unless those bosses change with how many people are active in the area i cant see any small group doing both of them and the lazerbeam chucking gazers.

Shard bound is dumb anyways, what does it accomplish except make the game harder for veterans

Jhelom didn't have the funds to cover the cost of the Artisan Festival

the city buff costs 2M per week
and the Artisan Festival costs 1 or 2M
(I looked quickly and couldn't find the exact amount)

you need either to donate to the city treasury, purchase reward titles from the city or donate cargo crates (drop them in the crate at the minister of trade)

I was thinking the same thing about the shard population once it goes live; Origin was crushing it yesterday like it was ATL but once it goes live everywhere I bet it will die down. Just like most other champs (and MoE), ATL will pretty much be 23/7. Hopefully the bosses scale based on population in the area. So far so good though on Origin where they stay alive long enough for me to get credit.

Side note (and not to totally throw this off course) - I did see several people multiboxing yesterday at the champ spawn (strings of samps or gargs following 1 toon all spamming AI or WW). Drops will be pennies on the dollar in a week or so

I'm assuming these set ups are somewhat more sophisticated than the taming scripts in Jhelom that could be tricked into going through a gate as long as it wasn't one that gave a warning, sending them to Brit bank put a bit of a crimp in the taming schedule
