I haven't done it yet (just went live today and unfortunately I'm at work) but yes my understanding is that it's a Halloween version Krampus. Drops are random and instead of doing trade runs to spawn the boss, people do treasure maps.
Only thing I do not know is how you would know the location because for Krampus the person at the dock spouts coordinates; not sure who would give that for this event.
Such a cash grab pay to win event...

i did everything on Origin and got everything and didn't spend any money.
well, i have a chromatic totem i used but that was just to test the drop rate to see if it was any better than without, and it was just barely better. not worth using in my opinion.
This seems like a pay to win event. I spent 2 hours killing Mares over and over and in that time I did get one of the new coal-grey colored ones to spawn [ I don't know the hue I dont use EC] I did get lucky and it was a 2 slotter.
Seems like if you want to actually get these new Nightmares in a reasonable amount of time you need to pay out for those totems. I guess they need to get people to spend money on the item shop. *shrug*
Yeah I started again and have used 2 totem charges on Legends, in 12 hours I have only gotten the 2764 (grey) during no totem and some voids, with totem I got void, a green 2768 2 slot, and a purple 1171 solid 3 slot. The totem charges haven't been as lucky for new rare hues like they were on Origin but that's probably just bad luck for me today and only 2 charges used.

Yeah wondering if something got changed, I'm about to try another charge or 3 since I'm off work now and can fully pay attention.
the spawn rate on the mares is horrible.
Total of 4.5 hours and only the one Coal Mare I got this morning. This spawn rate of horrible, not one single new color tonight. I am probably gonna purchase a totem later to see what I get from it. Not a fan of pay to win tbh. ={

I was fortunate enough to get all of the 2 slots for the hues with exception of the enchanted origin hue (tamed a 3 slot). Although, my demonic forces 2 slot is 92% IR! So I will gladly take it, lol.15 out of 16 of the rare hue mares I have tamed so far have been 3 slot.
I feel like something changed after world release, I've used up two full totems and barely gotten any rare hues. The one just used I only got ONE 1910 in 20 minutes.... before I was getting at least 1-2 new rare hues and a bunch of 1910.

char has 0 Luck, killed less than 10
I killed 250 mares and got zero rare hues ... just 15 pure blacks, with only 5 being 2-slot.

that mask is gonna be worth 5 billion gold here soon with the stupid crazy low drop rate.
I agree with this. It seems as if the spawn rates were significantly cut back for hued rare mares.
I used two totems. One Grey and One Red. Thats it. For two totems. I spent $15 on totems. Broadsword is not getting any more money out of me with these awful spawn rates.
After spending 6 more totems I only got 2 green and 2 1194 red... something has definitely changed from world release.... and I don't know if I'll bother spending anymore on them if this is the luck they give... not worth real money for just a slim chance because most of the time I got plain or void and sometimes not even a void.

So...I guess this was a very lucky day from what it seems? 3 purples in 1 day?Just got myself a long mane style 2 slot!! That's 3 purples that spawned today it seems on Origin!

I can't even try for the mares, cove is always camped by the same person, the hythloth spawn is a joke, always someone by the temple island portal...some moron keeps killing people in fel
Glad they added a few more spawn areas but people are greedy and don't give others a chance to even try, so frustrating.
I always look forward to the events, but this time around it's been kinda meh lol.
The Grimms? I seriously have killed over 300, no mask.
10 totems for the mares, so far!....thankfully they are fairly inexpensive...I do have 3 red ones, but purple is my favorite color lol, I would like to have just one!

when I got my mask, I had just done two rounds of the cemeteries first. I don't know if that had anything to do with it, but you could always try that first.

Ok don't hate me but just checked Chessie and got one after killing four
