10/16/2024 Greetings, We are pleased to announce that Publish 118.1 will be coming to Test Center 1! We anticipate updating Test Center 1 tomorrow, October 17th. Publish 118.1 includes the first phase of Echoes of the Blighted Realm: Shadow’s Awakening. Also included are new pirate flags in the Black Market, new skulls and Halloween masks and rare colors of the nightmare! Check out the full publish notes here. What if we don't have a treasure hunter? Like you said, Krampus-like event, where T-Hunters yell out in GenChat when and where Boss appears. I like the Pirate Flags!!

Holy Hell there is a lot of new Nightmare colors. I wonder if they are permanent or just during the event? They really want people to buy those slot tokens from the shop haha.

The Dark Red ones look neat, I imagine 2 slot reds will be pretty hard to get...

it says DURING the upcoming event. I'm assuming just while Echoes of the Blighted Realm is going on. (probably when they turn off the fall content). I have no idea if it turns off when Part II starts in November

All I know if I want some of those dark reds while they are available. They look a bit like the old Minax horses.

Well, did some initial farming of Mares on TC1. Rare colors did not spawn. Got a couple black mares but that was it. Gonna to be a lot of farming for the new colors.

Its a Hiryu without being trained. Deco pet. Looks like an NL pet.

No, they can now be seen in EC. All these years EC users did not know NMs had colors.

The only one I got without the totem was the 1194 one, alot of what the totem spawned was the normal old spawn rare hue 1910.

it’s called the totem of chromatic fortune.

it helps increase the chance for rare colored pets.

Knowing my luck I'll spend like 5 hours waiting for a dark red and it will be a 3 slot. =[

Would be nice if they just made them all spawn as 2 slots for the duration of the event.

Honestly, they should just leave them on as permanent content. I feel like UO focuses way too much on limited time content these days. Whenever they start focusing on production again, they need to just add new permanent content in general.

Since they are doing this with Nightmares, they should also make it so that Fire Steeds can also spawn in all 4 body types. I want a Long Maned Fire Steed so bad.

My legacy mare changed color in EC. It is hue 0, but I thought it would still be black. Now it looks like a Silver Steed.

Woah, wait a minute. That's almost a 1 slot Blood Fox (which are no longer possible) basically. Notice the Canine Pack instinct. It's Base Damage is lower than a Blood Fox, but equivalent with a Wolf Spider. The Grasping Claw though can allow it to out damage a Wolf Spider. That's a new top-tier Pack pet. You'll want 5 of those on a Tamer for dealing with low Resist/high Health foes (like the Invasion Generals), they'll easily out damage any 5 slot 120 Chiv+AI pet in that circumstance.

I know the mares are the obvious draw for this publish but has anyone tried the manifestation of evil?

Wondering what those drops are; hoping to get into the game this week to try it out.

The most interesting drop from the Manifestation of Evil, is the Bulwark of Light shield. That shield is BiS for non-Bushido Warriors (like Macer/Paladins), barring no-name Legendaries (which haven't spawned in years).
Shadow's Fury is also interesting, but i think it'd actually be even better as a Yumi. Double Shot and AP then, and the 100% Energy Damage would allow it to benefit from a pet's Conductive Blast. Double Shot can out damage AI on lower resist foes.

I wish shadow fury was also available as a glaive. It is an upgrade of the bow of infinite swarm, which can be altered.
