Realized today that less time passed between the release of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope (May 27th, 1977) and Green Day’s song “When I Come Around” (January 31st, 1995), than from the the song’s release and today… and I was alive for both of them….

My 25 year Highschool Reunion is in a couple months...

Friends I went to Highschool with are now having their childrens children start school. Felt old as hell.

Also, Im in bed by 930/10pm every night. Even on Friday and Saturday nights.

I'm feeling really old now. I was reminded recently that I just missed being a "baby boomer" by a little over two months.
Born in late 1945, I'm actually older than the baby boomers.

Sadly this would be 35 years for me if they were having a 35th reunion.

In 1997 the average age of a PC gamer was 35. I was 35.

I have over a thousand songs on my MP3 player. Few were made after 95.

I don't know most of the celebrities on talk shows.

I am no longer the target audience for basic products. Just the ones for adult diapers and pharmaceuticals.

I have never watched an animae or know how to spell it.

I watch Gunsmoke every night while playing, on INSP TV.

The new alien movie was made for 20 yr olds.

On the bright side we can revel in the fact that we had it a lot better when growing up. In the 70s there was a middle class because only 7% of the wealth was controlled by the 1%. It is now 40%.

So young people now have to share/compete for only 60% of the available money.

I'm still sticking with the quote I found some years ago.
Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.

I opted out, I spend most of my days playing - UO that is. Old is for my forum avatar, my blonde moments have turned into senior moments, but the effect is much the same.

I'm coming in hot on half a century. The funny thing is that when I finally started getting all this life experience and know-how under my belt, started figuring things out and getting my **** together, now it's all disappearing. I can laugh about it though.
