was sitting in my house, looked over and saw one of my parrots.
got to thinking..... who has the oldest parrot in the game?

as far as i can figure (with me thinker) is that parrots came out with Mondain's Legacy expansion as loot drop on peerlesses.

so if thats the case ML was released Aug 30 2005.
your parrot does not start to age until it has been placed for 1 week.
so as far as i can figure IF you placed a parrot right when the expansion came out if would be 411.5 weeks old right now.
(expansion will be 8 years old on aug 30, so thats 416 weeks, - 1 for the first week of placement - 3.5 weeks until 8 years currently = 411.5)

so, lets measure our pixil, just for fun.

413 is my oldest. On a related note I once killed someone elses parrot. I wonder how old he would have been today had I not unexpectedly killed him. It was during the Ophidian invasion of Vesper and this guy had a small house right next to the south bridge. One of the spells or abilities the Ophidians used turned the parrots in the house grey. So out of curiosity I went inside and took a whack at it and the freakin thing DIED. BAM right off the perch. Corpse and all (no loot). I've always wondered if anyone else had ever killed a parrot...

True, but don't forget Atlantic's almost month long revert not too long ago which honestly leaves all of us on that shard at a 4 week deficit from the rest of the folks.

I do think she's the oldest in the game. I have asked and searched around for ones that might be older but haven't found one yet. She's only a little over 18 years old so I was hoping I could find older, but then again not sure when the parrots first came out, I believe they came with ML, yes?

Yep. That house is an icon on Origin. They were an integral part of the shard. I also left for a few years and was sad to see that they were gone when I came back.
