Acct Notifications lacking

I just can not believe that after 20 + yrs I did not even get a notification from this damn game that when I had to change my cc to another # that my acct went dead. WTH!!
Thank God I logged in to finish my deco up after a major move and I realized something was amiss. To think that everything I had would have been gone if something had kept me away for more than a few months.
I am really tired of this new generation running things!!

I always get an *End of Subscription* notification...it's weird that some people don't. Maybe it's the settings?

I pay mine month to month, I don't use gametime and I don't pay more then a month at a time. I have never had any issues changing CC info or updating it at all.

(Had to go back and find one)



If I make any changes to an account I will get an e-mail as well.

The email system works flawlessly as long as you actually bother to check your account emails. Renewing, cancelling and resubscribing have never been easier, as long as you do it correctly.

I don't have horse in this race. I never check that email account. I find out that my time has expired when I log in and it won't let me. And my payments still go to Geneva.

Also note that some email providers need to be hit between the ears with a 2x4 like a mule, to get to understand that email from broadsword/mythic/EA (going back over the decades) is NOT Junk/Spam mail. Sometimes, even telling them that it's not junk, and adding the sender to your address book of allowed senders doesn't work.

I know one of my email providers was automoving everything to Junk related to the game over a decade ago, so I immediately went in and changed my account email to one that would let it through.

That must have changed. I pay since years with gtc and it is much cheaper. The notication stops about 1,5 years ago.

they told me when i was using a card but do not now with game time. but hey if i get a years wroth of playtime for 60 to 70 bucks its wroth the risk

That's the IP of the server i got the last couple notifications from. That IP is listed at the SORBS (Spam and Open Relay Blocking System) Blacklist list since 2018 (107.23.83.182 - 37 entries [14:14:58 12 Apr 2018 GMT-04]). If your mail provider is using that blacklist you will not get the payment reminders.

But we know the devs are good divers. Nobody answers on Such a problem. "Who cares we have enough subscriptions...."

The payment mails come from a different host. Currently they use:
connect from platformweb1.shared.aws.eamythic.net[107.23.201.4]
That hostname and that ip are not on any blacklist.
