Found out today that my CC company bounced a payment to EA and that I can no longer play UO...
At first I wasn't sure why I couldn't log in, and I had trouble getting into my Mythic Master account, because heck, when everything's been set to automatic for so long you tend to forget stuff...
Anyhow, I gave my CC company a call and they said that we Europeans are protected in certain ways with certain laws just in case someone is a victim of fraudulent invoices. They also said that when they gave me a new card this april that the first invoice by a company which charges on a regular basis and for an ammount higher than 30 euros, that the charging party has to do a double or triple security check on that payment, and if they don't do that double or triple security check the CC company is apparently bound by law to bounce the payment.
They told me that EA / Mythic don´t do double or triple security checks on my 6 month payment charge. Which sucks, because as of now I've been going back and forth with all kinds of people at EA support who keep referring me to my "bank" who recalled the payment.
Are there other Europeans here which have managed to resolve a similar issue and can you elaborate how you fixed it or who you spoke to?
I'd rather not dust off my old PayPal account, but I will if I keep hitting a brick wall.
