I put them in DJ locker and grab 20 to 50 that are close together in same area and teleport to a place on land that’s then sail to them

I think this will fall into the "well they haven't said it is but they haven't said it isn't" category.

BTW - I would say just ask the Devs but we can't even get an update on how NL is coming or what to expect for the next few months so good luck on getting them to answer you about this.

"is it legal" lmao like it matters? It's just another one of dozens of mapping programs.
If you want to nitpick between whats available, then just buy a sextant and set off.
Or stop caring about what a list that hasnt been updated in a decade says is allowed and not allowed, and use one of the literally infinite amount of mapping programs that people seem to think needs to be re-invented.

I swear more development goes into the third party side of this game than the actual game, and players still think they should grovel to the devs for anything of substance.

It was stated years ago that as long as the data stream is not modified, a third party proggie was okay to use. It was one of the devs (at that time) - can't remember who.

Par for the course with this bunch unfortunately. That said, I think you would have grounds for a reversal of any action that might be taken. The olllll "I didn't know I couldn't do that" since it's not really posted anywhere (an updated list of what is allowed).
