Can we view the state of the game with objectional eyes?
This will piggy back of my post regarding EJ accounts...deal with it.
How many people can say they play with UOA only?
Perhaps many of the posters on here will say my claims are false/over estimated/whatever.
Granted I've been out of the swing of things for a while; how can running an "illegal" third party application (one that you can have set so all your input is just moving your character) be good for anything?
It's egregious that 75% or more run a specific constellation program to play the game for them.
Yes you can control actions of your character better without; but to concentrate on not running into objects (wait nm, it does that for you as well), the timing of pots/spells (wait it does that too), the ability to wall on the run flawlessly, teleport to max range automatically...the list goes on and on. Auto synching targets with no input from the user, other than one person (don't know how it works actually, nor do I want to). Auto healing targets without any actual input at all (know there is a friendly list you can add). Toggling equipment that is worn on the fly (focusing sash comes to mind). Is that not broken? Is that not an unfair advantage?
There are shard campers/farmers that literally do actions all day unattended; farming, looting, banking and probably even repairing armor to continue.
I'm sure the reason its unenforceable at this point is its gone for too long unchecked, and to eliminate 75% of the player base (maybe 50% paid for?) would end the game right then and there.
There are many things that makes UO a special game. Allowing the blatant disregard for the ROC that every player agrees to when they login to continue needs to be addressed.
EJ accounts need to be severely kneecapped is a start, then to crawl back from allowing the rampant "gameplay enhancement with no input from the user" needs to be addressed.
Maybe its the uber German literalism in me that thinks a rule, agreed upon rule, should be followed.
