Looking for How to do once inside, all the outside stuff no problems, I been inside twice and both times we had our butts handed to us in baskets, in the end we did win but swore never again, to us the reward for finish the quest did not out weigh the cost of death/damage and lost items. Bards work great, especially provoke.

Secrets in defeating it without dying depend on the template you use. It's an easy solo encounter, just time consuming.
When considering the time required you're correct in saying the reward is not worth it.

It's been solo'd by one person far more than taken by a group on Lake Superior in the past few years so I don't know why Pawain would tell you it's a group encounter.

So one person can do it does not mean a group of others can't do it. Most of us like playing our tamer and like group activities. Dollar can solo 17 Darkfathers so that Queen would pose no threat to him.

We all don't want to be Dollar.

but I would need to see a video of this happening. I don't see how anyone would be able to solo this encounter.

Safe spot is probably the best way to describe it.
I personally did it with a mage.

I used to solo the Myrmidex Queen until the encounter got "fixed" so the queen would repeatedly throw 32 gosh darn larvae at a time. I don't do that quest any more.

Yeah, I was going to say the video posted on the solo guy was prior to the exploit/bug getting fixed. Things in there are nowhere near as calm as it is in the video.

It's still easy to solo, it's just more time consuming when things aren't as calm as in the video provided.

The encounter can be easier or more difficult when in a group depending on who you are playing with.
Sometimes people make things more difficult than they need to be.
