House ownership releasing containers issue

Why cant all my Characters release containers locked down by same account ?
If I lock down something with one char the rest of my char on same account cant move them ?
seem like a strange feature like im going to steal from myself ?
is there any work around for this....

Be more specific. I use all my characters on the account to lock and retrieve items and chests. Never had this specific character issue.

I have multiply house and all my accounts are co-owner to main account.
if i lock down anything with char 1 char 2 or 3 etc others on same account cant retrieve it or release it only the char that locked it down cant
I set everything to co-owners on security settings

That doesn't sound right. All of my characters on the same account can unlock/lock anything down.

There are a few exceptions though - some vet rewards (decorative wall shield) the classic holiday trees are examples that come to mind.

Ah yeah that makes more sense. No, your co-owned characters won't be able to unlock anything locked down by the house owner, even if the container/item is set to co-owner.

What I typically do is co-own my main account and then place all items with the co-owner. Though in that situation you still wouldn't be able to use any additional accounts to unlock stuff - just the house owner and the first co-owned account.

ya I use only the main co-owner account but if char 4 locks it down then char 1 cant release it makes no since to me its all the same co-owner that should have the privileges to move items locked down from same account

sorry makes no since to me that All char on the same account cant move containers locked down on any char on that account in any house your co-owner

so I lock down a container with my tradesman in a co-owned house and my tamer logs in on same account and decides I want to move I cant I have to re log in my tradesman. To me that seems wrong, why cant any char on the same account retrieve / move anything locked down on the same account in a co=owned house ?

Usually they can, unless the house owner account locks it down, then only house owner account can move/release it.

I only have the exceptions dryzzid mentioned.

All toons on an account can move around chests, deco. On the house one of them owns.

Co owners can only retrieve items that that toon placed.

A co owner can place a mannequin and use it. But he can not mess with a mannequin the owner placed.

If what you say is happening, place a chest with a co owner. All toons on the owner account should be able to access it.

usually this happens to me
when I forget to set the security on it
and then the home owner sets the security to co-owners

example:
account b secured a container with BODS in it
account c tried to access and I realized I couldn't
account a (owner) set it to co-owner

account c can now access it
but when I tried to retrieve the container with account b
she no longer had the option to retrieve the container

(this just happened a couple weeks ago)

I don't think co owners should be able to move stuff. The way it works allows you to set up chests for other players. If one of them turns bad you would not want them to be able to take everything.

Hmm... you're right. That's really weird.

Update: I was not able to unlock the bag but I single clicked it and selected "Retrieve" and it worked. Maybe that's why I never noticed, I always use retrieve at this point.
