Summary:
The Moonglow rift to the Ethereal Void has closed, leaving a storm of energy in its wake. Stepping into the lightning teleports a player to the domain of Andrew, a servant of the Shadowlords, for a one time experience.

• Step into the center, where the lightning is most concentrated
• If no one else beats you, you'll be teleported to Andrew's domain

Summary:
The Moonglow rift to the Ethereal Void has closed, leaving a storm of energy in its wake. Stepping into the lightning teleports a player to the domain of Andrew, a servant of the Shadowlords, for a one time experience. They may choose to pledge their allegiance to Andrew's masters, or be killed for their defiance. Loyalty yields a reward in the form of a glass dagger.

• Go to the crater in Moonglow/Trammel
• Step into the center, where the lightning is most concentrated
• If no one else beats you, you'll be teleported to Andrew's domain
  • One player at a time
• You will be frozen and initially unable to speak
• Andrew will allow you to speak twice, for Yes or No answers
  • Don't add punctuation, like YES!!!
• The second question determines whether you're marked as loyal, and given a glass dagger, or marked as defiant, and sent back to Moonglow dead
• If you don't answer clearly by the time the candles are extinguished, Andrew assumes you meant No

Rewards:

• Glass Dagger
  • Normal dagger stats, with glassy hue
  • Shatters after a single successful hit
  • Has a chance of doing 50 direct damage
    • Rolls between 1 and 100, if the number is greater than the target's physical resist, it hits for 50DD
    • If the number is less than or equal to the physical resist of the target, it shatters without special damage

I really got a kick out of Andrew...

Something about sitting in front of Andrew brought back great old memories of early Ultima... perhaps it was seeing those Tarot Cards and having to choose your path of virtue. But the experience really gave me that 'Ultima' feeling.

Yep, this was actually Ando's idea for his character. Of course, the in-game Andrew isn't nearly as nice as the real one, so be careful

Something really strange happened when I went to see Andrew. There was someone else in there running around. He said he went in but Andrew didn't talk to him and he was able to move around. So I sold my soul for the trinket and ended up outside and he also got sent out with me.

Quite bizarre, then he went in again and hopefully he did get to talk to Andrew.

Sure sounds like it took, since he got zapped and did not get a Glass Dagger. Frankly, Galen wanted to answer with "go f__k yourself," but I the player was worried that would be accidentally taken as yes.

No card scares a Tarot reader like the Tower - or the person they're reading for if that person knows anything about Tarot cards. It is however one of the clearest cards when it comes to meaning. False structures, false institutions, false beliefs are going to come tumbling down, suddenly, violently and all at once. What's important to remember as a tarot reader is that the one you're reading for likely does not know that something is false. Not yet. To the contrary, they probably believe that their lover is being faithful, that their religious beliefs are true and right, that there are no problems in their family structure, that everything is fine at work...oh, and that they're fine. Just fine, really.

Alas, they're about to get a very rude awakening. Shaken up, torn down, blown asunder. And all a reader can really do to soften the blow is assure the Querent that it is for the best. Nothing built on a lie, on falsehoods, can remain standing for long. Better to tear it all down and rebuild on the truth. It is not going to be pleasant or painless or easy, but it will be for the best.

I have a 120 swordsman and got the dagger,but it isnt classified as a "ubw" can my swordsman still receive the benefits from the glass dagger or should I give it to my fencer/mage? also what about my archer? he has a dagger too.

Yeah I am taking side of evil becuase everyone "wants to be good" and I feel that those of us who pick the dark side will be rewarded more thatn if we chose to "folow the crowd"

My idea is that the cards we have chosen will somehow represent what rank we will be in the Shadowlord army.
Or some special gift or power we will recieve.
It seems quite a few of the major tarot cards were left out. I don't see any one recieving certain major tarots (ie. the Fool, Emporess, ect.).

Therefore, could it be they had a certain number of ranks or powers to give out?

Is this going to effect some event and is it going to effect my ability to participate in some said event if I do not participate now? I mean..... being a good allianed character I'm not about to do anything Andrew wants... I mean certainly "IF" I went in and talked to him I would choose NOT to follow the shadowlords.. I want to save Britania..... and all and I follow Virtue.... so my question would be "Must I" enter the lightning and talk to Andrew to positively effect the outcome of the story arc? Is this something that will effect my participation later?
