Are the UO developers secretly behind the item selling websites?

Go on any UO item selling website and you can buy anything you want, on any server, and have it delivered in 5 minutes. This includes rare pets such as white or blaze CU sidhe. They even mention that the pet you receive will come with random stats, as though it was generated by some developer tool at point of sale.

I don't see how it is possible for these websites to be able to offer all of this, and on any server. The inventory of items they would need to hold would be massive, and an investigation by GM's would see them lose everything.

Am I missing something here or is this not slightly suspicious?

Don't pets spawn with random stats? It would be more suspicious if they could guarantee high stats for these pets. (Since dev tools literally set stats to anything they want.)

I know scripters can amass most of what else people want. One scripter made some error, and left 30k Bloodwood on the ground once near me. Scripter miners are more common than real ones.

Perhaps we shoukd keep the libel to a minimum.

I'd suggest it doesn't matter but will quickly be labeled as a scripting gold seller I'd suggest that everything they sell should be sold in the uo store I'm old and tired and I have more money than time or sense but really I'm an elite hacker who's angry my dog archer was nerfed

I see players return all the time with no gold, then a few weeks later they can buy items and have sets of 120 pet scrolls. Players sell pets to them, they sell to others. Players sell items to them thru the vendor system or direct.

It is a market, just like Atlantic.

Lets get to the bottom of this for you. I don't think they sell trained pets they might but all pets start with random stats. (Then there is a duping pet trick I heard about), They say 5 mins but am sure some items are all on ATL but they can have it to your shard with Shields (I am thinking they been around for years and have Vet shields)

Items can be bought and moved to other shards. You do not see them selling many if not any of the shard bound items, Vet rewards they can just pick one if they don't have it in stock we are talking about 100s of holding accounts. They offer homes but need time to find you the right spot for the cost. It has been years since I saw in stock on castles and keeps at lest on Atl shard. ( I do check the sites sometimes)

Power levelling has gone a long way for them they don't need your account info to do it they can just give you a bag with a Mystic token and PS and SOT and there is your 120 skill masters (they farmed or bought the cheap PS long ago and have stock)

And the rares they sell have all been duped to no end and are not really rare anymore.

Gold has been duped and farmed to no end in game with no real gold sink in game to allow it to be deleted. The Devs made it easy for them really to sell gold. You think about it just need the buyer to set up a vendor at his house and tell them to buy the gold coin for 175mil 5 times and move on to the new vendor for the other gold to be moved just give them the location of your vendor.

The two spots you see people hanging out are Luna 2nd floor and Umbra gate for trades. I have been to both moving around and had trade windows open and then closed when they realized am not the buyer

I highly doubt it's the dev's because lots of the stuff is duped and not vendorable. They duped insane amounts of items. There is a pic floating around of a seller's bank box, packed to the brim with transfer tokens. That's just 1 out of probably hundreds or thousands of accts.

I was being ironic, no way are there “hundreds of thousands” of paid accounts, storing 125 bank box items each char. There might be that many EJ accounts but that would mean only twenty five items in the box each and I would imagine a real pain to manage as you would have to log the contents of each when you wanted to find something in particular.

I have to agree that many of the items came from the 20th. Given, purchased at cost, reduced price, what ever, we can only make assumptions if that's what we want to do. We can create any story we wish and it ends up being just that, a story. The only thing I'll add to this is that the Swag store is poorly run. I've purchased twice and both times it took months for the order to ship and the last order took Mes getting involved and they ended up shipping stuff I didn't order, I didn't get stuff I ordered, I got partial credit. Essentially I gave up. It's a shame because it reflects on Broadsword, Ultima Online, The Team and us the players.

I would really love the chance to be able to take over the Swag Store and do it right. The possibilities are endless.

incase people didnt know, duping happens everyday whether from selling sites or random players. do u really think the selling sites have huge whare house full of items on every shard? no, they will say they need 5/10 mins, they dupe and get you the stuff. they have the knowledge/info needed to do this.
only the dumb ones get caught lol. but if someone does get caught, they just open another endless cheating account.

about the pets, i said/posted this before when they did a fix on exploited pets. do you really think they got all the exploited pets? or did they really fixed things so people cant exploit pets? no to both
there was a dupe trick for pets too but i dont know if it works anymore

one thing i am concerned about is when the ems/devs stopped giving the number of event drops. all the hard work people have put in to keeping an "accurate" count of the number of drops per event/shard is not happening. how is anyone to know if these things are being duped? this change happened after em/ems was caught doing some illegal activities. it seems like it was changed to hide possible future issues. i do thank all those involved in keeping accurate count through the many years.

i guess theres also things people can do to make a shard crash too. maybe they will get hired lol
number one thing i care about with any game i play is, relatively fair/no cheating. nothing else matters.
enough of this, time to go play uo and have fun lol
