I kind of have my EM drops and the few server births that I have a bit scattered, and mostly in crates, so I was looking for ideas on how to display my rares. I started to clean out a castle for the purpose of displaying, but was hoping for ideas. I'm trying to avoid just slopping them right on top of each other, but recognize that sometimes that's just how it needs to be done.

This is my current residence on Atlantic, Zento. My goto way of displaying rares is through scenes but for this house, I display what I can and throw the rest in a chest (open to the public) until I can get a bigger house. I've recently returned and am looking for that perfect spot
Here's one of my houses with my tavern and stable related rares. All of my rares collection is split amongst houses dedicated to town themes - tavern, magic shop, blacksmith, farm, etc.
Located in North Harbor on Atlantic. Go to to Yew Gate on Atlantic Tram, there's a tele house just north of the gate that will take you there. There's about 30 houses or so, you have to look hard I like to tuck rare things in subtle locations.

Mage Shop (built around the server birth reagents, added the caged phoenix to it recently, also has a Quest for Glory Easter egg hidden in there somewhere)
Mine (by @Kuru, just picked up the recent deposit of gold EM drop to add to it)
Alchemy/Herbalist Shack (built around garlic sprigs and growing ginseng, recently added the Brit Naturalist Association mushroom)

Mine are placed through out my different buildings but the majority placed in my castle on ice fel catskills 94.24 N, 162.48W. I like them to be a realistic placements that an item of that sort would be in a castle. For instance book rares are in the library .

I love to collect but I also love for my houses to look functional. My vendor house is also my museum and crafting house, so a lot of my rares are on "display", but also scattered throughout crafting rooms as deco that fit that craft/room theme.

Well my museum is torn apart now, and I didn't take pictures beforehand like I should have. But I put everything on display stands. My museum was Napa specific items, If it was christmas related I placed them together. Weapons went on the same floor. Clothing the same. The bloodstone stuff I kept together , same with the Kingsguard stuff. Basically live everyone here, if there was a theme with rares, I kept that together.
Forgot about the Atlantic Repertory, the first floor is a museum using good ol' fashioned display cases:

I would like to take this moment to downtalk Laina... How dare she create gorgeous masterpieces that make the rest of us want to give up rare collecting... The last Rarefest was on Baja, it was spread out unfortunately across the southside of Zento, there was plenty of space to have the fest clustered south of Laina's museums (and Manti's... I guess... Sorry Manti)... But do we want to buy and sell rares in the shadow of a glory nobody can reach? No. **** that. All that is is a deterrent to collecting. This is a house i have built and done for this customer on Napa, Inside Luna. I have a few more things i want to finish up or take down but there are lots of em rares inside all over in the deco. Because i like to blend things in with the house.. I have recently did another on Baja for Cortez. A Christmas house in Zento. This one has a bit more work for the gentleman. but just an idea of what i do when ask to design some ones house. I am working on another on GL.
