Be careful with invasion thief.

The point is the strange system during the invasion. Especially during the Rare fest. Thief can steal something from your pocket in TRAMMEL, and you can do completely nothing afterwards. You can’t kill em or calling guards although they are grey and you got a message of stealing. you can even open their paperdolls.
I didn’t find information what kind of stuff they can steal, but probably it can be all unsecured items from your pocket. In TRAMMEL. Very nice system. Thank you!
Of coarse all expensive trinkets and armor are always insured, but Rares, which you can buy and fest, then simply try to deliver from bank to your home can be unsecured. And it’s sad to loose, for example, globe from the void or approaching winter in front of the moonglaw bank in trammel. Be careful guys!

They are part of town invasion - and only active in a active town invasion town. If you stick around to the end where the Titan is killed, your items are returned.
Mostly they like to grab pots, bandies and gold.

You should get anything stolen back if you stick around until the Titan is killed. But I agree that it is annoying. I don't know how deep they will dig into your bags, but I try to keep only blessed things in my main backpack around the thieves now.

next time let them steal everything from the bank then delete my house, like part of invasion. And especially didn’t give players some information about it.

couple of shards nearly dead and you can wait Titan kill for a while.

Thief can be part of invasion, but we have to chance to kill em if they stole something. Otherwise it’s a weird and stupid statement, where you can kill one mobs while guards doing nothing and just walking around. Grey thief are immortal and secured stealing in a safe zone just whatever they want.
Looks like pirate shards event in 2005

The thieves were very annoying first time around, I didn't really get how they were allowed to steal in Trammel either, I guess it didn't bother me so much as we always stuck around to finish the invasion. What really made me mad was that I have five chars who are all mages of some type and I couldn't cast any summons in town, this made most of my characters a bit useless and the invasions felt very tedious and grindy. The trade quest part was as bad with the guard zone at Brit being so huge. I had a tamer but it's not really something I enjoyed playing for long periods and when the pet revamp came in I stoned all my tamer skills and went pure bard with her.

If you've got a thief, you can usually just steal it straight back. I did quite well out of the thieves on the last invasion for daily supplies.
Pretty sure you then get it back again at the end, but most don't seem too fussed about the lower priced stuff going missing. If it's that important, put it inside a sub-container and they won't steal it, even if it's not insured.

They keep stealing my stash of apples for my pet! But other than that, I think it is really just to promote attended play rather than walking away from you computer while attacking a General.

On Siege, you have to deal with me as well. I'm not nearly as nice as the NPC thieves and I don't give your stuff back..... Ever.

At the beginning, they used to carry all kinds of stuff to the invasions, but now almost nobody has anything in their pack that they don't want me to have. I consider bringing stuff to an invasion a gift to me and my guildmates. Our pet summoning ball garden is coming along nicely!

It’s fair when it’s on Siege or Felucca , but in guard zone you simply can do nothing.

No, it really isn't fair. They usually can't do anything to me either because I rarely flag because I know what I'm doing.

Running around with uninsured rares in your pack is just dumb. Please don't try to excuse stupid actions, it's just a dumb thing to do, Trammel or not. What if one of the invasion enemies were to kill you and for some reason you couldn't get a rez in time? Would you still be here whining about "fairness?"

The thieves are part of the invasion... if you don't want to be stolen from then don't do the invasion. :)

I'm sure someone is going to fay "that's not fair because then I can't get the spellbooks". Well that's the reward you get from risking your items being stolen; the good old "no risk, no reward".

That said, I do think (and thought the first time around) that players should be able to steal from the thieves! So you could steal back your goods... or in Pete's case steal back your goods :D

Is it really risk when you can just insure the item, or put it in a bag? I don't think so... Nope... Just stupidity.

Trammel just bores me to tears though. Even if I could steal people's stuff from these "thieves," I wouldn't. I at least need the fear of an impending guard whack to add a little excitement to my day. Even on Siege where I have been fairly successful at getting some rather decent loot I am getting bored with it because the victims can't (or won't) attack me. But, I am very used to dealing with content where my play style is essentially excluded (the entirety of last year with the boat stuff comes to mind), so I will just continue being bored until this silly event is over and I can go back to my usual routine.

i dunno during the plunder beacon stuff i hopped on a random chicks boat and took all the cannonballs, fuse and charges out of her cannons because she for some reason had it all set to anyone could access. I mean sure its not the same kinda stealing ur talking about but its got the same outcome. You could've also jumped on the npc boats after people destroyed them and took loot from the chests. I guess thats more of just being a prick then a thief tho.

Yeah, we mainly searched for unmanned boats and scuttled them taking whatever was onboard. The boat stuff from last year gave me many opportunities to be a prick, which is fun, but not necessarily the thrill I'm after. Krampus is one of the good events as far as I'm concerned. I love Krampus.
