Ok, last night i was a bit too bold.
Fighting 2 Generals and 3 Captains at the same time with my sampire (2am and all alone) and all going well.
"Clonk" got dismounted - "Clonk" got disarmed - Hp dropping fast - starting to run.
Yehaa - got away with 3 hp left AND stumble into the range of a lowly archer recruit - OoooOoooh

2) Teleporting to painted caves - running in to engage Lurg and Grobu and dying in seconds because i forgot to equip my WEAPON

Hoping to read about your stupid ways to die

Put a loop macro on my trap box macro and counting resources while transporting 45 trap boxes.

Try going into the Shadowguard, Bar room with 5 or 6 people, once most all the pirates are on a pet, just Earthquake real quick. ;-)

How about dying as a sampire. Getting your stuff and jumping right back into battle only to realize you forgot to cast VE after rez.

How about getting drobed at miasma because if you rez outside a scorpion will kill you on rez if you aren't paying attention. Give me 5 seconds to run!

How about fighting on a tamer with a Big Dumb Dragon. You hit the all kill macro and Big Dumb Dragon kills YOU! Round two, You actually target the monster and Big Dumb Dragon kills you again. Dragon burgers anyone?

Throwing 4 bottles at shanty all hiting yourself.
Forgetting your death rune and recalling off that die when screen is black.
In middle of battle and Guild memebers target you with there pet by accident. Geting razed and pet killing you once more.

okay, so yeah, this was a couple decades ago on Great Lakes.

Some friends and I who are the usual, typical nicely nice characters deciding to be evil for once go to the Moonglow Graveyard where the newbies train and release a couple of my dragons upon the poor unfortunates. Aren't we funny huh? So I teleport to the roof of the tomb and do the "all release" routine. Their first target? Me.

Another time, before Tram, with my dragon in tow to help protect us I took some newish friends to Ice Island where I lived so I could help them train taming and do some taming myself. And what did you use to say when you wanted to release newly tamed pets? All release! My now newly freed dragon immediately killed me, his former Master and giver of food as well as my now former friends. If my memory is correct there wasn't an ahnk on the island yet or I just didn't know it but it seemed like it took hours to find someone to rez us. My friends lost all their possessions, I lost some friends and I couldn't find my dragon.The island was full of dead corpses, hardly a live one to be seen on the island. Still couldn't find my pet. Eventually I came across a live person in their house who came out when I stood outside their porch and kept bowing until they did and asked if they had seen a dragon. The answer was more than I was expecting or wanted to hear. He told me about how it went on a rampage killing everything in sight across the entire island, human and non-human. Himself included as well as many of the folk of Ice Island. He told me that he and a couple others got together and eventually killed the dragon.

A few weeks ago, a guildmate was watching a guy do the Piper in despise. The plan was to wait for him to finish and steal a scroll or two, so he tucked himself into a corner where he was blocked on 3 sides to make sure he didn't trip on the guy or hit a trap. Right before he finished, a chest spawns right in front of him blocking him on all 4 sides. It did not end well.

during the first invasion event, not knowing much about it, I recalled to bribe bods in east brit, while the invasion was going on. there were 3 drakes, one ancient wyrm and dragon that insta killed me and my beetle that had filled bods in books. I quickly rezzed and went back to loot the beetle. the beetle's body disappeared as I opened the door to loot bods. it only took 30 secs to a minute to rez and to get back to bodies. they decayed faster during the event.

During Magincia's post rubble era, my newly created character Sheer Stupidity accompanied a guild mate and friend to watch her place a new plot on the Fel side. She placed without any difficulty, but trouble came calling. A PK on a stealth archer sneaked over and managed to kill her. I was dumbfounded as I soon became the PK's target and I ran on the newly erected plot along the far edge like a chicken with its head cut off while trying to avoid his arrows as he traveled on the perimeter. She managed to gather her wits and ordered me in TS to call guards. Heeding her eloquent solution put a quick end to my spin cycle path when the journal revealed the guard whacked (who's name has long been forgotten) "PK was killed by Sheer Stupidity"!

2003 or 2004, doing the Griselda the Hag quest on a Paladin (not even close to being a finished character), on foot.

As I passed through the lich area, two liches attacked me. I fight while still moving, dropping one, then the other - and when the second one drops, my hits bar actually is displaying "0" (rare, but it happens - means that you survived with less than 1 HP due to your resist blocking a percentage of damage).

However, I was still moving, took ONE more step, and Zeefzorpul spawned, swiped at me, and KILLED ME.

So, I was killed by a yellow Invulnerable quest NPC.

A few times through the quest later, the Zeef location for playing the flute was in a shop in Magincia, and I discovered that the Imp could be guard-whacked, when an NPC yelled on its appearance. Doesn't affect the quest chain, though. if you had a guards macro set, you could have him whacked yourself there, and also at the farm location behind Brit castle.

Shard transfered just recently to a city under attack (20th anniversary invasion event going on bow). Char popped in grey as always. Seeing the invasion going in I thought best not to move and just log out and back in when invasion was over.....logged back in an hour later with transfered char only to find a ghost. Had to run around to find a healer in town....and then found out my transfered items were missing. Bum city...lost a few 100 mil of items from the transfer.

A few years back before the pet training revamp i was on my tamer im doing the ish valor champ spawn. I was dragging my greater dragon into the middle to check the alter so i was running ahead and spamming all follow to get my dragon to ignore the spawn and follow me. I got pretty far ahead at one point and waited a few secound then ran back to find him. I spotted him and ran up to him spamming the all follow and he growled at me bit me and breathed on me. At this point i realized the dragon im telling to follow me isnt actually my dragon but instead a random spawning one that just happened to look like mine and happened to decide to spawn near me. That didnt turn out well for me...... after getting rezed and i came back to find my dragon a lil to the south just chewing on ratmen.

Owned a L shape out of Yew. Always liked them. One day I puting item down to make it look nice. Wife calls me away no big deal made sure last item was locked down. Toke a while I thought I would time out I always do and thinking am safe inside my tram side house. Come back a hr or 2 later. Game window open lost con. On screen am dead and there is a eaten inside laughing over my body. Log back in body gone and eaten still there rez and kill eaten. From the time I owned that place to geting rid of it about at lest once a week something spawned inside it and tried to kill me

Another one from my past: Working poisoning on a GM Alchemist who was wearing Potion boosting jewelry I think maybe 70% total (this was pre-Nerf on potion boost jewels).

So I have one loaf of bread and a keg of deadly poison. I was applying deadly poison over and over on the bread. Well someone called out for help over Guild chat, I was reading and not looking, I clicked the bread loaf WITHOUT the poisoning target. I ATE IT! Then the whole world went grey! After that friend showed me how to make a macro to help with that so I wouldn't self destruct again!

A week later I blew myself up filling a Greater Explosion keg, one wrong click.... and an Earth Shattering Kaboom later grey world! Alchemist is a hazardous job!

Got 2. Already shared but it’s been awhile so pardon me those that know ‘em.

So I’m working poisoning for weeks in my 1st home on my 1st char using fish steaks. Shortly after UO started someone figured out they could cast gate spell on ur steps then run thru from the other side in the direction of the door & server lag would pop them inside ur home. I come home from class & log on to find my home completely empty. Bstrds took it all, even the fish steaks. *logs off disguised*
Couple days later I log on to a message “You are now a murderer ! You have 47 murders.” WTF. Every time I log back in the number seems to grow exponentially. By the end of that week the log in message was +1500 murders. Thieves had been dropping my fish steaks all over the game on Atl. RIP my 1st UO char - *Deleted*. I had to kill him permanently, there was no alternative. F-ing fishsteaks...

2 - Paged a GM b/c greater dragon (when they were relatively new & the rush to tame them was on) spawned inside a cave wall & was unreachable even w area damage. After waiting patiently over an hour the beast pops out of the wall & drops directly on-top of me. I get instantly melee hit once, some spell goes off, & fire breath hits b4 I can move. *Screen greys*. Immediately after I die a message pops up “Thank you for your page. The creature has been moved. Your problem has been resolved. Thanks for playing UO ! - GM Fliben “. The one and only time I’ve ever rage logged in +20yrs. If I ever find that GM...

I think pretty much every tamer knows that death all too well... What's just as fun is when you target one of your buds. I'm guilty of that often... thankfully the EC has me covered now and I can turn off friendly targets.

I still remember way back when, when dragons were dragons and scarry... I got my first Dragon Slaying bow and I wanted to try it out... I had seen a white wyrm by some house just out of Brit East... so I went out there thinking I'm all that... and I'm gonna solo this thing so I run up to it and "plink"... I look to its bar thinking yeah! and no... I can't even see that I hit the thing for any damage at all... and then it turns on me and I'm like suddenly clinging to life so I run desperately back to EBB dragon in tow and about 5 people there are suddenly dead... and then I am dead... yeah... not a good idea.

Many years ago, when AoS was new, a bug made imps one of the most-dangerous monsters in the game. This made the Abyss champ spawn level one among the most-deadly things to do in UO.

A guildmate of mine died at this level one doing the Fire spawn. Not at all surprising in that time -- except the last thing to hit him wasn't one of the bugged imps (there were about 20 surrounding him), but a mongbat.

So for the first, and last, time in many years of playing this game I saw this in party chat: "I was killed by a mongbat."

It was an embarrassing incident for the lad but we all understood. It would take awhile for the imps to be brought back to pre-AoS levels.

Playing on Pac about '98 and no clue on health bar dragging, etc. Was nicely camped out in the area of the peasants hut in S Moonglow - the one with the cotton plants. So I'm whacking bunnies all over and hit the wrong thing - an NPC. >ka-WHACK!!< Guard whacked because the hut was (still is) in guard zone.

Luckily a friend who'd gotten me into this game was online and she came and rezzed me. Then she started laughing like Hades (naturally) because of the noob move. <shrug> THEN she tells me about pulling bars. DOH!

I was training resist with the Reapers that spawn up by Yew. I refer to the place as Reaper Point. Ennyhoo I get a bit bored and go wandering around the mountain there. Lo and behold there's a cave on the other side of the mountain!

Curious bugger that I was, I carefully entered ... fully prepared to run like crazy. As the world turned gray, I realized I had stumbled into a cave completely filled by Reapers! There had to be hundreds of them. And they all cast on me at once. Ouchie.

Lost all my good armor and stuff on that move. Never went back to the cave.

Almost. The other night during the invasion battle Jo was trying to cast WoD on a officer, but she had clicked on me before that.

Then there dead res dead res dead one. This the other day on Baja, I died during a big fight during the EM event. My Pet was still fighting and I rushed to healers only to die again, seems my pet battle was being transfer to me and I could NOT get away from that so helpful healer.
