What pet, at least in theory, would be best fit for soloing all of Doom from start to finish ?My hat is off to any tamer that can solo Doom with any pet.
Farthest I got solo was to the last room before the Dark Father. Not being able to change pets there makes soloing Doom extremely difficult.
That's the problem, all the mobs have different resists, so there is no single pet that can do it all. Also, several of the mobs there cannot be discorded, so that doesn't work. Not to mention they are tough mobs that hit hard. Good luck with the Abysmals. What pet, at least in theory, would be best fit for soloing all of Doom from start to finish ?
Putting a Hitching post there would solve this problem. Whats so OP doing this?My hat is off to any tamer that can solo Doom with any pet.

This is probably one of the tougher parts about the gauntlet now since you can no longer lure the DF up the hall to fight; they teleport back to the middle and if you are close enough they will suck you in. I can use my sampire to solo a DF but I've found it pretty difficult when there are several DF that have been left... seems like I can't lure them far enough away...every time I go down there just 2-3 dark fathers in the middle waiting for me
I haven't tried a tamer in doom since dragons were used but if you were able to do everything with a Cu except DF (due to bleed) then I'd guess that a Triton should be an upgrade as they can be built exactly the same (just without bleed). Only drawback might be damage type.i've had no issues in any of the rooms, but got worked over pretty badly on the df. part of that is likely due to my pet choice - the bleed attack on my cu may have caused the mob adds to proc more frequently. I ended up getting swamped in mobs and couldnt keep the pup alive. Havent gone back on a tamer since, but ive been told its doable with a chiv/AI hiryu. Cant see why a triton couldnt hold up as well or better if thats the case.
That is why I mentioned the TRITON in the title of the Thread....I ended up getting swamped in mobs and couldnt keep the pup alive.
I've been curious as well, just haven't had the time or properly set up triton to put the effort in. downside to doing the gauntlet on a tamer is that it takes a L O N G time compared to a sampire since the pet cant chain specials like a player can. it's definitely on my list of things to try though. That is why I mentioned the TRITON in the title of the Thread....
To my understanding, the Triton has good healing and can use the Frenzied Whirlwind which works well against multiple targets (although, some say, not as good as Whirlwind...).....
Perhaps a fully trained Triton could not do bad down in Doom to solo all rooms and the Dark Father ?
Weren't you the one complaining that you had to many Tritons? Why don't you train one of the many Tritons you have and go find out yourself. Oh wait I forgot you want everybody else to give you step by step instructions so you can question everything they say but NEVER come back to give any feedback on any question you ask. That is why I mentioned the TRITON in the title of the Thread....

My time in UO is limited and I have to make choices with what I can do in the game, unfortunately.Weren't you the one complaining that you had to many Tritons? As per my earlier point the other 500 points on the template can.downside to doing the gauntlet on a tamer is that it takes a L O N G time compared to a sampire since the pet cant chain specials like a player can.
Given time I will.So you won't even build the pet. You just want to play vicariously through others.
if u don't have the time to train up a pet or multiple pets what gives u the idea u'll be able to solo run the full gauntlet with ur limited time? Tring to solo the dark father alone could take up many hours more when u factor in fails.Given time I will.
It is now that I am lacking the sufficient time to get it done...
Get off the forums and play UO.My time in UO is limited and I have to make choices with what I can do in the game, unfortunately.
I wished I could spend time also training up a Triton not to mention, that, being a returning player, the tameable training mechanics is all new to me and I still need to be able to find the time to learn it first....
To much stuff to yet have to learn and do, and too little time to be able to do all that.... unfortunately....
But yet you supposedly had all that time to get all those Tritons, what a load of BS.Given time I will.
It is now that I am lacking the sufficient time to get it done...
It is not only the time to train up a Triton, but also, at least for me, the time to first "learn" about pets' training mechanics which is all new for me...if u don't have the time to train up a pet or multiple pets what gives u the idea u'll be able to solo run the full gauntlet with ur limited time? Honestly, I kind of have my doubts you actually play the game. You ask a ton of really bad questions that could easily be answered by logging into the game for 30seconds and you seem to have a knack for digging up dead threads from years ago to post these questions. I tried to answer your questions thinking maybe you were new but honestly like @Lord Frodo said, people answer your questions then you just follow up with 5 more questions wanting to debate the answer they gave you. Then you claim you just want to know how it all works. Truth be told there is much in UO that doesn't have a user guide and you need to just play the game itself to figure it out for what works best for you. Stop asking a million questions (especially if you aren't going to put them into practice) and get into the game whenever you can to test things out then ask questions based on your experiences (not on others). It is not only the time to train up a Triton, but also, at least for me, the time to first "learn" about pets' training mechanics which is all new for me...
I will certainly make mistakes, during the learning process and so, I need to first do it on throw away pets before actually investing it on a Triton....
This plus that makes it, at least for me, a more consuming time investment...
what do you mean by fishing pole? Is there a fishing pole that gives +vet?fishing pole to 80 for a ress
Sure thing you can craft them with runic Saw if you want +15 skill you have to use Heartwood runic and trust me the chance is really low.. But creating +10 - 13 is possible with most of runics.what do you mean by fishing pole? Is there a fishing pole that gives +vet?
