I think he and Richard are still the only father/son to have both been to space. Didn't see any mention of it here, but without Owen there would be no Ultima. He was 88, and served on numerous NASA missions and roles. Safe travels to his family...

Thats rather amazing. Story should have broke with a bigger picture of the entire story.
Some of us dont know the larger picture of UO history. I only new about Richard... and I still learn new things now and then.

Only Astronaut father/son. I believe that there was a pair of father/son Cosmonauts as well.
