Patch notes stated that the CC would get the ability to derive hue numbers. I was expecting an option item, but this makes good sense! <dopeslaps self> Whatever am I saying ... Devs doing something logical! ACK!Is this new or did I somehow miss the creation of this?
It tells you the hue number of any item you click on, which is a really cool addition!

Gift boxes and other gifts come in different and rare colors. Some of which may be difficult to distinguish. Do wish it worked on pets but beggers can't be choosers lol.Hmmmm. I see.
However, I dont quite understand how that's helpful... outside listing out rare items for sale. Rare/rare. Not like yellow special fishing nets. There is only 1 yellow... or red... or other colors. People wanting colored nets know what colors are on offer.
Any suggestion on why this new feature is?
Really??!! Sweet! Thought the item had to be locked down!It also gives the hue of pets.
It did initially on test center (have to be locked down), but they fixed it when it went to Baja/Origin. You can now use the interior decorator tool anywhere, and if you are outside a house you will only get the Hue ID option.Really??!! Sweet! Thought the item had to be locked down!
I tried getting a hue ID on an ethy in my pack. It returned a 0 ID which makes sense since it is ethereal. I played with it and love the dickens out of it!It did initially on test center (have to be locked down), but they fixed it when it went to Baja/Origin. For anyone not familiar with getting the Hue of a pet, you will see Hue 0 often, this just means the pet is the base model color. This is also why two different pets with the same Hue ID may look slightly different, because the hue is an overlay on the base model.
Ever try to tell the difference between the blue cus?I'm sorry. I'm waiting for post after post and I still see zero evidence why this is needed... at all.
It cant be totally pointless, right? Its not like we have dye tubs that are set by these special numbers.
It is a measurement tool; it measures hue by assigned number: it's exact to that.I'm sorry. I'm waiting for post after post and I still see zero evidence why this is needed... at all.

Well! We dont learn if we dont ask question, do we?Thanks for chiming in w/ your concerns.
the irony.I'm sorry. I'm waiting for post after post and I still see zero evidence why this is needed... at all.

Windows has one built in. Just search for "magnifier" and enjoy. For example... how about a magnifier vs. having to almost put your eyes on the screen.
Hell... I have been waiting on "Ultima Online - Large Print Edition" for about 8 years now. Don't care wth I do I still need my reading glasses to read the stuff said in chat....For example... how about a magnifier vs. having to almost put your eyes on the screen. Or even a "Max Raise" vs. having to do it a dozen times.
Not sure I understand you correctly, but those are the named hues directly from the EC UI code (HuesInfo.lua):So there is no reference that cross-references a hue number to a color anywhere?
