Release the 3 slot beetles and get new 1 slot ones..

 

[Mordha]

The fire and giant beetle are worthless when there are new ones at 1 slot.
Rune beetle looks pretty good, but modern ones also spawn at 3 slot.
Save the nightmare for later, definitely a keeper! Stats are meh but it’s still better then any modern nightmare.
Fire steeds still spawn at 2 slot, technically not a prepatch.
Most will say toss the 4 slot cu’s. To be honest, not worth the training when modern cu spawn at 3 slot.

Cool, so keep the rune beetle and the nightmare and "retire" the rest. I'm guessing the greater dragon I had is now useless also?

In terms of value would the mare / beetle be of any worth? I have very little gold so may stop them or at least the beetle. When you say " save for later" with the mare is there something happening in a future patch or is it just that I wouldn't know how to train it now?

If you are going to play the tamer then keep the NM. The ones now do not have enough points to get AI/Chiv. You want a variety of damages on pets.

What I meant with the nightmare being a keeper is that you can not get a nightmare now what those stats and be a 2 slot pet. Plus they are nice pets to have, once you gain a bit of experience with the pet training system. A number of people, myself included took our PP mares and swapped magery for chivalry and added armor ignore to them.

I’d also go ahead and keep the fire steed. It’s not special in being prepatch but it is a good pet to train up. I have a few myself.
