[Price Check] Old Dread Warhorse

Greetings,

Just came back from a long hiatus and had one of my old UO buddies tell me that Dread Warhorses and other legacy pets have gone up in value. Have one that doesn't have good stats but wondered if it's possible to get an rough idea on it's value. It's on Napa Valley shard if it's make a difference.

The dreads do not spawn anymore..for many years. This looks like a low dread, unless you post the resist and they are very high. Low dreads now price about 300-320 M or so untrained and unskilled. High dreads price at about 400-450 M. They are re the most rare pet in the game. If this is you ONLY dread, I would not sell. Gold can be made in game. Dreads absolutely cannot . Any rate don't get low balled on the dread. All dreads are priceless collectors items. They will never spawn again. Don't let any1 tell you this is a low dread and try to buy it for less than 300 M. This is the present market. I hope this helps and welcome back to the game.

untrained will sell for .2p-.3p each on average. trained (properly) will sell for .5-.75p and (improperly) will sell for .15-.2p
they are not the rarest pets in the game. the rarest pets sell for 30+p trained or untrained (ethereal pets), and the 2nd rarest pets sell for 2.5-4p untrained (blaze cu).

How does it have such high HP with low STR?

Mine has only 580 HP with 520 STR.

HP and STR are both 3x training points, so yours is similar in points to 600 HP and 500 STR. It is still a very good dread. By the way I would not "train" it until I know the pet system inside out. Or it becomes worthless.

They are not, and both are in the range for what these spawned umteen years ago..

Also by definition Etherial pets are not rare? Even if they cost tons? You can buy them from the UO store any time and any day of the week right? Unless there are other Ethereal pets I am not aware? What ethereal pets are you meaning? Vet reward Ethereal pets? They are not 30+P. They are very very much lower. Check VS in Atl and you will see.

He's refering to actual pets that are Ethereal, particularly the Hiryu and the Reptalon. You can read more about it here.

There is also the red long mane nightmare, which I presently own, there is only one said to still be in existance. It's from a Japanese server seer event from long ago. There is also a short mane people say still on an asian shard.

And there is also the white ridgeback.

It was from a Catskills event .

So those are some of the most rare pets in game.

There are of course other pets that are considered rare because they are no longer obtainable like the plague rats. Or ratmen the piper animals, but some of those aren't exactly legal to own.

Nope.. You did not Hijack anything. On the contrary : This is education for me at least. So this is actual tamed pets with ethereal clothing, that spawned due to a Dev error in 2011. The Devs have accepted it and made them legal. So you are correct these are like the pets for the gods! LOL. Absolutely rare. The ethereals are legal according to the old thread..WOW.. had no idea about this. Thanks for the info. This will be my next project. (Joking of course)

WOW..My bad! I had no idea about ethereal clothed pets! @Khaelor just put an explanation of these! I can see why 30+P for super collectors!
