The Fort Defense is Coming

After planning quite a bit, we are officially ready to make this announcement. The Nightmare Clan Orcs will be defending the Orc Box inside of the Yew Orc Fort on Sunday, October 28th. That box will be filled with thingies, some good, some not so good. It’s what our small band of Orcs can muster and collect.

We have left an open invitation to former members of the Shadowclan as well. Some may show up, some may not. If they do, we will do our best to equip them with competitive equipment, and show them that GM Crafted equipment is indeed back in the form of imbued gear.

If you are a PvP God, or a crafter with UWSP, we invite you to come and try to take the fort from us on the 28th. (Time to be announced.) We expect that you will lose your equipment. We also expect that most of you humans will indeed not be working together on the outside of the fort, but only time will tell.

See you out their Siege. Let’s show these other shards how a real party looks.

Great stuff! Unfortunately I'll miss this one :-/

one thing to keep in mind: if the fort defense will take longer than about an hour you will need to make sure the items in the orc chest don't simply decay. Several years ago the decay timers were drastically reduced.

Sad to hear you won’t make it @Max Blackoak. I hope other members of VICE will still make a strong showing, as well as some various other PvP players GIL, and UWSP. There will definitely be others in the future. We’re running tests on the Orc Box today in order to check the timers so we have an idea of what we need to do on our end to refresh items inside. So, in the event anyone is running reconnaissance there today, please keep your paws out of the Orc Box, the items inside are useless and you’ll mess up our timers.

You can just move the box one tile every 30 mins and you should be good.
Perhaps just double clicking it works as well to reset the timer, not sure on that one though.

The Orc Box is an actual box that was given to the Shadowclan Orcs way back in the day. It's a locked down object within the world.

Just so everyone understands, the Orcs will not be on mounts for the duration of this fight, unless one of them is riding an ethy to get back to the battle. You may see some blue Orcs as well, but those are the un-burnt gruntees who have not completed their Grunt Test yet, or one of our PvP thiefs. So don't fret, we are still a PK guild, just some of our members haven't the skills to make it in the world as a Red yet (They'll still be there fighting however.)

It's an item that was locked down by GM's many moons ago. The box itself cannot be picked up. It's inside of the Grunt Hut.
