Let's throw out some old names of players from our home shards and see if anyone recognizes them. Guild names and tags welcome too. I'll start.

Anyone from Empire Pax Britannia (EpB) on Atlantic circa 2000-2001. My first guild and the people I cut my teeth with learning the game. Unfortunately, I can't even remember all of their names now, but the ones that stick out are ROBERT BRUCE, WILLIAM BRUCE, Kaiser II, Hulahn, Gotor (who recruited me), Gabriel Goldleaf (and his wife, whose name escapes me), and Hulahn (and also his wife, whose name escapes me as well). Our guildhouse was a large forge east of Brit in Fel. If you ran two spaced north of the GH, you hit the server line in that area. I started playing when Trammel was available but housing was not yet active in Tram and it was turned off in Fel. Tram and Fel moonstones were also active, as this predated facet hopping via moongates. Moongates still dumped you at whatever location was in phase with the moons... or however that worked.

When I bought my box copy of UO it was the T2A box. My friend IRL bought it a month later and it was the Ren box.

I would love to hear from any of those people or anyone who was in the guild. I played then and still play as Dryzzid.

Oh, and of course, any old RPers from the Order of the Ebon Skull on Atlantic. Would love to hear from any Skullies.

I recall we were having a guild meeting at the original Shadowcourt HQ north of Vesper when DCL and Noxin and Wildcat had a massive fight outside. Of course we all stayed in character as the chaos ensued outside. I think it was something like 6 or 7 vs 2 and still Nox and Wild didnt go down. I got an apology on ICQ later that night from Noxin for their brawl outside our guildhouse. Classic.

Years back (T2A to Tram era) I played on Pac with a gal I knew whose character was Aisha. Here she became known as Leandra and was a mod. A couple others who had come with us from another game were Elwing, Earendil and Lindy. Lindy ran an auction house on LA after a little bit.

Then there was a pest named Sir Loin of Beef who insisted my character was an infamous PK of the same name. So I dirtnapped a lot until I was finally able to convince him he was wrong. After that he helped me understand some of the game mechanics, friended me to his house and intro'd me to the reds that hung at Brit Crossroads.

I was in a guild of PvM/RPers named KOP - Knights of Peace - and met Mistress Vic, Hardrider, Aramis and several others. This group was my first intro to group/guild hunts and we quite often went to wipe out the hordes at the Orc Fort and City of the Dead in T2A. When I left Pac for Atl, it was Mistress Vic that killed my character as part of an RP plot.

On the these boards (SnR in the good ole days) at that time were a couple guys I came to really respect even though our playstyles were different - Marikus and Solarm. All of us tried a FS for a little bit in addition to UO, found it lacking and dropped our playing there. But I was finally able to meet Marikus and Solarm "face-to-face". Good times.

I miss them all.

Dread Atlantic - SSJ guild run by Gohan, Jarlaxle. Some of the best fights in game happened when 3-4 SSJ took on 20+ blues, and won. Good 'ol dread days. No scripts back then, they were efficient killers.

G*B (Guardians of Britania) run by Shadowcaster. Myst ran a good vendor shop with Angel and the guild had an epic long running guild war with LD! (Lords of Death) run by Max Prophet. Names included Voivod, Aries, Cherlynne, Wolfgar and many more.

Dread days, when your thief could disarm steal and you couldn't lock down your stuff(or your skill) were the best. 10k gold was a lot back then.

AlucarD - first roleplayer I met showed me how to gain resist walking back and forth in a fire field.

Back further a guy who played on Great Lakes. He helped me place my first house there and since mine was a tiny, I could sheer sheep and use the loom and spinning wheel in his "tailor" house from mine. I wandered too far from home one day and could not find my way back to my house.It dropped and he helped me earn enough for a new home....safely on the road to vesper. hehe

I spent more time on this shard so I have more fond memories. I was part of the RP community in Atlantic for a long time
