Scrolls for pets idea

OK, we all know tamers need a lot more scrolls than the average character build. Propose they leave the power scroll system in place for characters, but for pets create a new pet quest, upon completion all pet skills have 120 max.

And devalue all pets that people put a lot of time and gold into? No thanks.

Add new consumables instead to adjust stats, via questsystem if you will or trammel drops.
But dont give another reason for people never to venture into felucca.

This is not a bad idea for advancing the game, for the next phase. The new phase should happen, regardless of "devaluing present pets" and regardless of Dev mistakes that cost players billions of uo gold.

More than anything I want better access to get pet skills to 120 and also the ability to remove pet abilities.(bleed, dragon breath, dismount)

Planned obsolescence is never a good method for games to advance unless there is actual new content.
Not rehashing the same dungeon, just with harder monsters.

Agree. Also with the OP's idea of something new to access 120's PS for pets. Could they incorpotate PS in a new "event", elemental titans with pub 101 or some type of arc? I think that is what he is suggesting. Not too horrible an idea..Make it very difficult, but doable with non-PvP/PK mechanics, also make it to need some type of team effort. Anyway, GL with any of this materializing, with the objections from the PK community, the tamers that have put 1 plat wort of PS on pets they are trying to sell worried about prices dropping and DEV inertia for ANYTHING pertaining to this...

Heres something thats been bouncing around in my head a while now. Leave scrolls where they are but implement something to enhance the system.

For example, scribes could create Legendary scroll binders similar to the existing binders.

So you create say a 'Scroll Binder of Legendary Wrestling' and requires for arguments sake 10x 120 scrolls of any kind, once complete the Binder becomes the 120 Wrestle scroll.
It may devalue some of the higher end scrolls initially but I am sure it would increase the value of 80% of the scrolls that just arent used/stored/discarded.
Potentially the market could get saturated initially due to the amount of useless 120 scrolls people have in storage but they would be soaked up quickly.

Power Scrolls remain in Fel, PvPers are happy. Desirable Power Scrolls are more readily available, PvMers are happy.
PvMers might even be more keen to venture into fel knowing that at some point they may be able to bind up the PS they want.

Just a thought..

As an afterthought, it would require some thought as you can milk 120 imbuing scrolls like there is no tomorrow!! Maybe limit to certain types, combat/caster etc. Either way, food for thought.
