Assuming all things being equal (damage type, resists, skills, etc.), what would be the damage difference between 2 identical pets, but 1 has 700 STR and the other has 800 STR?

All things equal, there will be about 7% damage difference between them.

the total damage bonus of a "standard", non overcapped pet with 700 STR is 361.3% - my last remaining pre pub 97 dragon (804 STR) has a total damage bonus of 381.2% - and that's only with the current skills boosted to 110's yet ... when this beast will finally get all 120's - the tot DB will be 392.5% (!)

==> ... maybe I should try to dig up some more dragon wolves ... a maxed out dragon wolf would get up to 428.8% ...
