In my opinion, not really. You can do much more with the other pets that start at lower slots that allow them to deal more damage, and survive better.

It depends. If you get a turtle with awesome high tactics, wrestling etc. Making them save you a bunch on the scrolls. Then certainly they can be interesting.

Look, a 4 slot turtle with >=120 tactics , >=120 magery , >= 120 wrestling already comes a long way.

Depends on the price. Currently it has been trained a bit, but not improved. Still 4 Slot with all Points left.
